Yes, I know what you are thinking. Wasn't Gerard Way [who is the lead singer of MCR] that guy who was really messed up a couple of years ago? Well, he did have some hard times, but he's really improved. My Chemical Romance has proved to be a great success. One of their more popular songs, Helena, blew me away when I first heard it, leading me to buy the album "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge". It's a really really good band, and a really really good album. I support Gerard Way for he has truly come a long way from all the pain and hardships he one was in.
Well, what are your thoughts on this band? ^^ [P.S. o__o; Gerard is really cute. XD] ~Dignity

    MCR MCR MCR! <333

Gerard is mine. *growls* Hehe, just messing, Julia.

Anyway...as Julia said, Gerard really had a messed up life. Even during the first album this was happening. He has said himself in interviews that I have read about how he would be stoned even during the show and then be grouchy to his fans afterwards, not knowing what was going on. But I respect Gerard for this, because he has accepted the fact that he is (was) addicted to drugs and alcohol and wants to help himself by stopping it, before he might eventually die from it. Mucho love to Gerard. <3

Anyway, the first song I heard of MCR was "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" and I fell in love with it instantly. I would play it over and over. Kevy was the one who got me into the song in the first place. Also, I heard of them a few times other than that and knew they had to be pretty good. Shortly after this, Kevy sent me the rest of the CD via MSN and I feel in love with every single song just as I had with "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)". My favorite song on "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" and my favorite song of all time is "I Never Told You What I Do For A Living". After this obsession with MCR's second album, I downloaded the whole album of "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love", and my favorite song on this album soon became "Vampires Will Never Hurt You". I love both albums and consider MCR to be my favorite band.

Yeah, MCR! They like own. Helena is a good song. "Give Em Hell Kid" is one of my favorites.

X3; My favorite song happens to be "The Ghost of You", but it is one of those albums where I do not skip a song!! <3 That's how good they are.. o.o I also have "The Ghost of You" as my ringtone on my phone!! XD And it sings!! o_o; I was amazed. XD ~Dignity

definately a fabulous act, MCR...i agree, 3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge is amazing...i heard Helena and I'm Not Okay and when i bought the album i listened to it 7 times in a row the first day.

They're...not fake punks. Seriously, if you read about some of Gerard's past, you'd think differently.

Anyway...I love all of the hits and future singles, aka "The Ghost Of You" and "You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison", but I usually like songs that aren't hits also. When I play the CD, I admire every single song. If you listen to the songs very closely, you will find that the lyrics are very deep.

^Pertaining to "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge".

Oh, okay. Personally, I'm into the whole makeup scene, so yeah. XD

Well I downloaded all of the songs from it, if that counts. I haven't had a chance to buy it yet.

It's supporting the band, and I get to see the album art and such.

Yeah, I want to buy their first CD, as well.. I think Gerard was pretty messed up when he wrote it, though.

Yeah, I like My Chem... I think Gerard's ugly though~ My Chem are decent, but I've heard better. I guess I really got into them through The Used, they have... links. I'll buy their album if I can get it cheaply (ish), but I never buy stuff at full price... except twice, when I got Simple Plan's limited-edition thing and when I got SWN. I wouldn't count My Chem in, say, my top 5, but they're up there in the top 15 somewhere I suppose. Maybe even top 10.

    Gerard? Ugly? O.O

    >> Anyway...XD

Yes, Julia, Geward was very messed up then. But the lyrics are, I guess you could say, darker than Three Cheers For Sweet Revenges' lyrics, which is why I love I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love as well. Both CDs are amazing.

Gerard is super-ugly XD. Jesse McCartney and Joel and Brandon are <3. Gerard is </3. XD :P

Come on, you've gotta admit that when it comes to romance, Matchbook Romance does it at least as well if not better XD. I would download the My Chem CDs if I could be bothered but my connection is really slow lately >_>

    No comment, but...JESSE MCCARTNEY?! *pukes*

    Gerard = <3333333333

    Anyway...XD

I never listened to Matchbook Romance, so yeah.

Jesse is <3333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 He's SO cute! *has been watching videos of him performing in Dream Street*

See if you can get hold of the song "My Eyes Burn" by Matchbook then, it's AWESOME~

Was bored one day. Thought to myself, "Well, let's give this majorly overrated band a test drive." Downloaded Helena, and upon loading it into WMP, I was immediately hooked.
