this is my new battle frontier team. i hope this time, this team will let me prevail. All Lv 50

    slaking@ leftovers(M)
    trait: traunt
    brave nature (+atk,-spd)
    hyper beam
    facade
    bulk up
    slack off

well i know the no 2 turn move rule but traunt pretty much explains it since it recharges on its ability. im not sure about the bulk up/slack off moves so if anyone has any advice on that, please share it.

    swampert@ leftovers(F)
    Trait: torrent
    modest (+sp.atk,-atk and def)
    earthquake
    surf
    curse
    ice beam

i know i screwed up big time on the nature but i never realized it until i got far in the game and i didnt want to reset it.

    gardevoir@lum berry (F)
    trait: synchronize
    quiet (+sp.atk,-spd)
    calm mind
    psychic
    hypnosis
    thunderbolt

this my special sweeper.no comments on her.

    slaking@ Choice Band
    trait: traunt
    Adamant Nature
    -Return
    -Shadow Ball
    -Earthquake
    -Brick Break

lol, how is this Slaking gonna hit Ghost/Steel/Rock types huh?
Never ever put non-damaging moves on Slaking. Choice Band always. Last move *would* be Focus Punch, but since this is in-game, FP is too risky so its just a filler spot - Brick Break.

    swampert@ Chesto Berry
    Trait: torrent
    Relaxed
    earthquake
    Rest
    curse
    ice beam

Curse without Rest is meh. You can also do Mixpert:

    Swampert @Leftovers
    Relaxed
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Beam
    -Hydro Pump
    -Protect

    gardevoir@lum berry (F)
    trait: synchronize
    quiet (+sp.atk,-spd)
    calm mind
    psychic
    hypnosis
    thunderbolt

Preferably Will-o-wisp but Hypnosis is fine.

I play in-game more than I NetBattle and I treat them both like the same thing o.O
this is my new battle frontier team. i hope this time, this team will let me prevail. All Lv 50

    slaking@ leftovers(M)
    trait: traunt
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Double-Edge
    Earthquake
    Shadow Ball
    Focus Punch

Bulk Up and Slack Off are not needed due to the Truant Ability rule. Stick with All Choice Banded attacking since that's basically the ONLY thing it can do. Earthquake for the hard stuff, Shadow Ball for the Ghosts. I heavily doubt you'll need Focus Punch, but uh, just in case.

    swampert@ leftovers(F)
    Trait: torrent
    modest (+sp.atk,-atk and def)
    earthquake
    surf
    curse
    ice beam

i know i screwed up big time on the nature but i never realized it until i got far in the game and i didnt want to reset it.
I'd replace this with Vaporeon if I were you.

    gardevoir@lum berry (F)
    trait: synchronize
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    calm mind
    psychic
    Ice Punch
    thunderbolt

Yeah, let's go with that, although I'd pick something else to Special Sweep with. Probably Alakazam or Zapdos.
And as far as Vaporeon goes:

    Vaporeon (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Water Absorb
    EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 Spd
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Ice Beam
    - Surf
    - Protect / Baton Pass
    - Wish
Because sometimes, health recovery is important.

Also, if you want my advice, I'd replace both Slaking and Gardevoir with Snorlax and Zapdos. Make them both Sleep Talkers if you can.

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Wishpassing isn't very effective in the Frontier. Keep in mind its 3 vs. 3 (2 vs. 2 in the Dome) so long-term strategies like Spiking and WishPassing won't do much except draw the battle out. And the longer your battles last, the more chances the opponent has to completely luckhax you over.

And no, don't turn Gardevoir into an Alakazam. Use Gardevoir's special ability to inflict status because thats the only way Zam doesn't outclass it as a sweeper.

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

For the record, Zam also has Synchronize.

    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I didn't mean ability as in trait, I meant ability as in "able to do". And last time I checked, Zam can't use Will-o-wisp or Hypnosis.

alrighty, sounds like a plan to me. I was also thinking the same thing iceman but i wasnt sure to do it or not. thanks for the advice guys.

Umm I really don't play ingame, but wouldn't Lefties recovery still be better than Chesto Berry in the long run just like it is on NB.

Not in-game. Battles typically don't last nearly as long and so a ChestoRest still can be effective on a Poke like Swampert.

Tell me about it. I remember that I was shocked when I started NB how useless a chesto rest was- I had forgotten that I wasn't fighting people as dumb as the in-game AI. In-Game, chesto rest is the ultimate turn-the-tables move to pull on the AI. Chesto-resting Salamence with Earthquake wiped out that fershluginer Shuckle of Pike Queen Lucy. So yeah, listen to The Proffesor.

This might call for a local Battle Frontier moveset Guide/FAQ.
