I've downloaded MyBB and I am having trouble with it.
The Instructions weren't much help either.
Can someone help me out here. Please lock this if I'm a complete idiot about it and please - don't give me bad rep. I've explained myself.

Can you specify what problem you had? I have installed and run myBB, so I might know the solution.

Well you see, I'm usually a smart computer kid. However, the installation instructions made no sense to me. So could some one just simplify it?

Use an FTP client, like SmartFTP, and that the files in the upload folder and upload them to your server. Chmod your files according to the instructions. Then go to /path/to/mybb/install/ and make sure you have a MySQL database setup for MyBB. That's it. I hope that helps.

    It does... A bit...
Just a quick question, what's Chmod mean?

change file permissions, read, write, public read or write.

It stands for Change Mode. It allows permissons to be changed. To access that in SmartFTP, right-click on the file/folder and click the Properties/Chmod option and then type in the number.

You need MySQL to install myBB. If mySQL is enabled and you don't have an account, create one(usually done through your cPanel).
There's a good chance of your host mailing you the details of your mysql database(username, password, port etc.)
Enter all that correctly in the installation pages. After you have installed correctly(I think there are 7 steps, not sure), either delete the 'install' folder or make a file called 'Lock' in it. Remember that if you make 'Lock' via notepad it should be empty and not have ANY extensions at all.
    Hope that helped.

And Yah~~Check if your Host Allows MySQL Databases and has PHP Enabled(Almost all Hosts do so this is Stupid)

Stares at freewebs, hostultra, and hostinganime... not all.
