I was wondering what the mystery gift does. Also what can you do with the mystery gift. Finally, can you do mystery gift with emerald from leaf greed

Mystery Gift doesn't work the same way as it did in the GSC series. Now you have to take your game (with the wireless adaptor) to a "Wonderspot" to use Mystery Gift. A "Wonderspot" is an actual thing in reality.

Wonderspots are at the places where the Pokemon Rocks America Tour goes and was at the San Diego ComicCon Convention (last month I think?). You can check the official Pokemon site for more information on where the Pokemon Rocks America Tour is going this year.
