Recently (today or yesterday I ain't sure, XD) Namco and Bandai merged, becoming Namco Bandai (They got creative, huh? :P). What does everyone think about this, and predictions on what may become of future games from the company/ies.

Well, Bandai was in posession of titles such as InuYasha, Gundam SEED, One Piece, and Digimon. From playing experience, we've discovered that most of the games based on these series have been pretty badly made. (Inuyasha: Secret of the Cursed Mask being a GREAT example.)

Namco, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. They've made games like Tales of Symphonia (Along with the rest of the Tales game), the Tekken series, and the Soul Calibur series. However, they lacked rights to popular series like those mentioned above, plus more.

I feel that uses both of their strong points together, we will see some great games from Namco Bandai in the future.

Bandai? Didn't they make power rangers?

Yeah...bandai is nothing anymore, Namco is still quite strong though. I don't see why they felt the need to merge...

I'm not sure why Namco would want the Bandai franchises, all of those listed are pretty much just fads and short lived serieses. Namco already has classic serieses and some of Nintendo's (Donkey Konga, Star Fox Assualt, Mario Kart GP)

InuYasha and Dragonball AREN'T short-lived, but I see your point.

As for the merger, the only thing I can say to console anyone is maybe Namco'll set Bandai straight??
