Ruby. No, really. Sometimes, the default names are just as good if you're out of ideas.

If not, try a nickname/screen name you use or your real name.

I always just use my 1st or middle name or my best friend's name.

I dunno "Brendan" isn't an entirely bad name though if u'r gonna use
one of the game choices.

if u'r playing as the girl character then depending on the game

you said ruby version so why not just name her "Ruby" it is after all
also a girls name and not a bad one at that.

The name doesn't really matter. The Pokemon do.

I always give the character my name. It gets you into the game a bit more and you feel like your actually in it xD.
