Naming A Street??

Ok, I recently had my street named by the 911 people and don't like it at all!!
Well I called and have the option to name it myself and of course I want it to be RNC something, any sugesstions on what?? And no it can't be RNC'S Way or RNC'S Lane!!

Oh that's so cool that you get to name a street. If you're stuck on names just look through a street directory until you find something that sounds nice. If I could name a street I'd name it after a band who has a street for their name.

No, no, no, it will take awhile to get it done, at least a month or so.
They don't like naming after people, or I would have weanted Richie's Alley xD

Wait, you can change your street name just like that and just for not liking it? @_@ I would think it would be a tad harder to do so. According to this wiki article, some legitimate reasons for street name change are:

-reflect a changing or previously unrecognized ethnic community
-honor politicians/local heroes
-if a change in political regime happens
-avoid negative associations
-change in official language
-to have a uniform system
-the adoption of a new unified house numbering scheme (as in the case of New York in the past)

Hm, if your street name has a negative association of some short, I can understand. However, sorry to say, but you're being a bit selfish wanting the street name after your username. What you have done to deserve it? Also, I find it weird you're associating your internet persona with something real life like a street name be and I'm afraid stalkers might know where you live just by knowing there's a street named after your username. Googling/mapquesting street names takes seconds :<

Here in Edmonton (Alberta) exists Wayne Gretzky Drive. Pointless, but easier for drivers to point to as it sounds loads better than what it used to be. I think freeways/highways/biways/junctions are more suited to naming than a street. Streets should have nicknames. Like this downtown Edmonton area near Chinatown and men's shelters is "known" to be 'haunted' by the homeless and the using. There is this very tall apartment building with vandalized sign saying the building name. Most anyone who has 'been around' calls the building 'Crack Tower' out of reputation.

That's why I kinda said it's selfish if you want the name change after your name since the other people in the neighborhood might not like it. Be in their shoes for once.
