Need Help with Nintendo DS

Hi, Im currently saving up for enough money for a nintendo DS (I dont get any money at all) and have a major question about the WI-FI. Sorry if this is in the wrong post and if it is, could somebody please move it to the right one. Back tot the question. Do you have to purchase another piece of equiptment for the WI-FI for ex. I found a usb thing for the DS saying something on it about WI-FI but, with it behind glass, there was no way for me to read the case. Thanks for your help.
