4th Gen New Feature?

I was looking at a magazine scan and I found this image:

It may look like an ordinary golduck, but what are the electric things on the sides of it? I think that it's a new stat feature, that when your pokemon has a stat problem, it is visable. Maybe the new poison pokemon, (forgot name, purple pokemon in pic) can use glare and paralyzed golduck and is now using bite/crunch. I dunno. Here is the same pic, but with the electricity circled in red.

I think that's a Dorapion using Thunder Fang on Golduck, not a new feature.

Oh, I didn't even know there was an attack called Thunderfang. After a bit, they kind of looked like whirlpools from golducks sprite.

Yeah, there IS also those two yellow circles on top of the "bottom jaw"...

No, Pokémon don't become paralyzed in the middle of an attack animation.
