Hi everyone !

I just wanted to introduce myself to the community ! I've been following stuff on this forum for a while now, but I didn't have an account. I'm particularly interested in ROM Hacking, which is actually the reason why I created an account. As a rookie in this place too, I'd appreciateit if someone could just give me some piece of advice to help me know where to start.

If you wanna learn more about ROM Hacking, then I strongly recommend the ROM Hacking section! It's a good place to learn all you can about ROM Hacking, as well as find all of the hacks upon the Hacks Showcase section. But, I do recommend that you check out the other PC boards here too, since they are really great for meeting new people here too.

In any case, it's really nice to have you on board! I'm not really knowledgeable about ROM Hacking so I can't help much there, but if you have any questions about the forums in general, then you can have a chat with me anytime you'd like! We can even become great friends, you and I! Anywhooo, ciao, and have a lovely day~ :3

 

[Hiatus]

As you're interested in ROM hacking, I'm sure you've played a few hacks in the past, and of all the ones you have, which would you say, in particular, got you motivated to get into this scene and try your own hands on hacking?

I used to be a ROM hacker, and have gone through a couple of hacks for inspiration and whatnot. One hack that stood out to me was Shiny Gold, as it was feature-filled, and had also managed to precisely follow the story-line of Gold, Silver, and Crystal (well, maybe not exactly, as it had its own, personal events here and there, but close enough!).

Anyhow, welcome to PC, friend! I hope you have a lovely stay with us here, and enjoy all your visits!

I don't have experience with hacking itself but we do get many new members interested in getting involved as well as plenty of experienced hackers so helpful resources and other tools should be easy to find, particularly in the Tools, Tutorials & Resources forum. It should even have a pinned guide for how to start out with hacking if that catches your fancy.
