ok, i think i finally made a team i like

ok, i think i finally made a team i like! Srry bout keep posting teams on here, but i change my mind all the time.. but i think i decided on tis tema, i spent the last hour or so with a friend disucssing movesets. And same as before, please don't ask me to switch pokemon, here i picked pokemon which types didn't overlap, and pokemon i am yet to use (or currently using, as i am currently going through my emerald.) I really think this team is half-decent, for the least, but im sure Davis has something to sya about that -_-... lol anyways.. i hope that he actually edits this team.. cuz i want it to turn out the best. Well here it is:

Kingdra
Modest(+spatk -atk
Surf
Ice Beam
Rain Dance
Agility

Xatu (plz leave him here, ive always wnated to use him!)
Modest/Timid (not sure which one..) (+spatk -atk/+speed -atk)
Psychic
Reflect
Calm Mind
Wish

Ariados (i wanna keep him badly as well!)
Adamant(+Atk -Spatk)
Signal Beam
Sludge Bomb
Toxic/Rest (which one?)
Night shade

Blaziken
Naughty (+Atk -Spdef)
Flamethrower
Sky Uppercut
Thunderpunch
Bulk up

Dusclops
Relaxed (+spdef -spd)
Curse
Mean Look
Confuse Ray
Shadow Ball (I don't think it shuld be here, i put it there as a filler)

Steelix
Relaxed (+spdef -spd)
Iron Tail
Double-edge (with rockhead ability of course)
Earthquake
Iron defense

I know, quite a few flaws are in there? I'm not 100% sure on blazkien's bulk up, and for thunderpunch/sky uppercut, they are to get rid of the 3 weaknessess i thought of at that moment, water/rock/flying. i put flamethrower on him instead of overheat and fire blast becasue overheat takes away from SPATK and can only use 5 times, fire blast is inaccurate adn can only be used 5 times. I'm not 100% sure if i set up Dusclops right tho.. i prob got the wrong moves, but like that, i'm sure he'd do SONME damage. Oh adn btw keep in midn that i DO NOT netbattle. I sometimes battle my friend via link cable, but thats about it. oh and battle frontier. ANd the 3 pknm adavcned games i have are sapphire, emerald and FR, just for ur info XD

Well here it is:

Kingdra
Modest(+spatk -atk)
Surf
Ice Beam
Rain Dance
Agility Substitute/Toxic

Nyah, pretty shabby lead since it needs to boost itself up. xP Anyways, Agility is completely pointless since Rain Dance and Swift Swim already double its speed, making it faster than any other non-uber in the game. Substitute for protection or Toxic to hit bulky waters with.

Xatu (plz leave him here, ive always wnated to use him!)
Calm/Careful
Trait: Early Bird
Psychic/Drill Peck
Reflect
Calm Mind Thunder Wave/Toxic
Rest

Nyah, pretty weak poke, but if you insist on keeping it...*Shrugs* Well, Xatu gets access to the Early Bird trait, which handily cuts down Rest time to one turn, so I'd suggest taking that over Wish since it grants status recovery. Also, CMing only for the sake of Psychic is lol, not to mention begging for a Dark type to switch in. Replace that with a status move, either Thunder Wave to hamper attacks and leave faster pokes vulnerable to sweeping or Toxic to hurt walling types. Also, although Xatu's Sp.Attack is marginally stronger (10 points in the base stat) than its Attack, I prefer keeping Drill Peck on it as it lets you get more super effective hits (Particularly nice against Hera). Oh well, your choice, although the nature should probably be defensive since Xatu isn't really cut out for sweeping, and since you've already got Reflect on the set I'd say either Calm or Careful (Depending on which damaging move you go for).

Ariados (i wanna keep him badly as well!)
Adamant(+Atk -Spatk)
Trait: Swarm
Signal Beam
Sludge Bomb
Toxic/Rest (which one?) Agility
Night shade Baton Pass

Urgh...seriously weak poke. No, really, this one is shabby even for NU battles, so I'd really suggest ditching it. At any rate, if you're expecting Ariados to accomplish anything whatsoever in the way of resting or Toxistalling with its abbysmal defenses then you're way off. Agility to speed up and hopefully get fast enough to hit something with a STAB move and then, if an unfavourable type switches in, Baton Pass the speed boost on to the real pokémon on the team. Swarm just in case you get lucky enough to actually survive an attack with this pathetic thing. -.- Also, Attack is Ariados' only strong stat, so why on earth would you want a damaging move that ignores it like Night Shade? Try using a little common sense, m'kay?

Blaziken
Naughty (+Atk -Spdef)
Flamethrower
Sky Uppercut
Thunderpunch Rock Slide
Bulk up Swords Dance

Bulk Up is pointless since Blaziken doesn't have the defensive abilities to make use of the Defense boost. What you need is Swords Dance for quick Attack boosting. Also, Rock Slide over Thunderpunch since it gets a nifty boost from Swords Dance.

Dusclops
Careful (+SDef -SAtk)
Curse Will-O-Wisp
Mean Look Substitute/Focus Punch
Confuse Ray Rest/Pain Split
Shadow Ball/Night Shade

Okay, point one: Relaxed nature increases Defense, not Sp.Defense. Also, why'd you want a -Spd nature when this one has no use for Sp.Attack and can freely sacrifice that on the nature side? Careful ftw. Incidentally, Shadow Ball was the only one of those moves that actually works on Dusclops (Ironic, ne?). Curse is lol, especially since you don't have any HP recovery, Mean Look is double lol since the AI practically never switches and few human players are dumb enough to let your Dusclops live long enough to trap and Curse, while Confuse Ray is a lollish luck move. :\ Will-O-Wisp works way better since a burn halves your opponent's Attack, Rest or Pain Split since it needs HP recovery and finally Substitute enhances its PP draining ability and provides status cover while Focus Punch can be used on the switch or against sleeping targets for some pretty nice damage. Night Shade is also a very viable option over Shadow Ball since Dusclops' Attack is pretty shabby.

Steelix
Impish (+Def -SAtk)
Iron Tail Rock Slide
Double-edge (with rockhead ability of course) Rest
Earthquake
Iron defense Toxic/Screech

Ho-hum, poor Steelix. -.- To begin with, Iron Tail is pretty useless even with STAB since it only gets super effective hits against Ice and Rock types while being weak against Water, Electric, and many others. Rock Slide, on the other hand, works nicely together with Earthquake and lets you hit anything with at least normal effect. Double-Edge is also pointless since a STAB Earthquake is stronger and Steelix can't even learn Iron Defense. <.< Rest for HP recovery, and then either Toxic for some stalling power or, since its ingame, Screech to reduce your opponent's Defense to practically nothing (Since the AI is usually too dumb to switch) before you trample them. If this were competitive I'd suggest Roar for that slot, but it's not really much use ingame. Finally, attempting to raise Steelix's Sp.Defense is pretty pointless, just focus on the physical one and raise it to an extreme, special sweepers will blow you away regardless.

Ehh...it's a weak team. No, really, you have no real special sweeper and a rather half-arsed special wall (Xatu) and all Ariados is accomplishing is wasting space. I'd say replace that one with a proper special sweeping type like Jynx and replace Xatu with a bulky water type, but if you insist on keeping these then this is the best I can do. -.-

Thnx, i know they are weak, but those 2 i dont think ive eever really used (except 4 ariados on gold for like.. a day..) adn thery are my more fav pkmn.. i didn't realize iron tail wasn't that good XD i will prob end up swiotching Ariados, and maybe Xatu. and u suggested a bulky water type, what exaclty did you have in mind? Just curious :P and umm... can Sky uppercut OHKO a water type by any chance? Ah anyways, THNX!

Adding a bulky water would end up changing the makeup of your team since it would make Kingdra expendable. Poor Kingdra. Great typing, but its stats are too well-rounded, giving it little in the form of advantage, other than Swift Swim making it speedy. It is a great partner to Kyogre in 2v2 play. I would suggest the greatest starter ever in Swampert or Milotic. Ludicolo isn't as good, but serviceable.

Sky Uppercut will KO any Water-type, if the Water-type is a pre-evo and about 20 levels lower than your Blaziken. Keeping Blaziken in against a Water-type is just asking it to faint. Switch out.

Ludicolo is good, using it as a Sp. Sweeper maybe but not as a bulky water,

Lol sky uppercut KOing a bulky water, it cant ko anything unless it CHs
