Now a lot of people like prettying up what they type. As people who post in the song claim thread SHOULD know, I like using { }'s. They're pretty.


Now how do you pretty up your posts, are do you even do it at all?

Meh, I do use the pipe | to make my sig look neater but no I normally dont pretty up my posts. unless it's like a PM to my pair. then maybe I'll have a few ♥'s in there.

I leave my posts with just the writing. I don't really bother to do anything like smilies. I don't like them that much.

I use =/ or ¬_¬ when I'm being patronising ('patronising' means to talk down to.. ) and a ';)' when I'm trying not to really annoy someone or when I'm joking.

In my posts and titles, I don't do anything special. The only thing I do is use smilies, but I don't think of them as decoration.

In my signature, I use what I feel like using; it usually involves a pretty separator between links. I try to make it look pretty somehow. I can't just have a plain-looking signature, I'd feel lame. XD

Nope. I don't feel like having to c/p all the decoration and stuff, then write my message. It wastes time, and some people find it annoying. So why bother?

If using smilies counts as 'prettying up your post', then I guess I do. But I don't think it counts, so...

I find that I don't have the time or the patience to do such a project each time I post. I find it more important to make your words important enough that people notice them without magical symbols and pretty fonts and blinding colors.

Though yes, I will admit to using a few smilies, but those I use are for a reason. It is extremely difficult to let others know what emotion you are feeling through the keyboard, so a simple combination of "x" and "d" will let others know that you are joking. Otherwise, they might get insulted by your joke.

I don't pretty up my posts but I do refrain from making ugly [excessive] posts.

I don't see what's ugly or pretty about my average post... My signature has something very very pretty in it half the time though! *cough*hotgirl*cough* My posts less so.

Time and time again, I tend to use the Trebuchet MS font to prettify my posts, but other than that...I tend not to do anything else. I see no point in using excessive characters or maybe a different coloured font when posting. I use emoticons quite a lot, but not in every post I make.
