    Overlord
The story takes place in the year 2138 when virtual reality gaming is booming. Yggdrasil, a popular online game is quietly shut down one day. However, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga is then transformed into the image of a skeleton as "the most powerful wizard." The world continues to change, with non-player characters (NPCs) beginning to feel emotion. Having no parents, friends, or place in society, this ordinary young man Momonga then strives to take over the new world the game has become.

Same as Satoshi. Although I'm expecting more than "nothing". I'm at least expecting it to be decent enough for me not to drop it halfway. :p

I'm curious to see how the storyline pans out, especially when it's yet another MMO anime but done through the eyes of NPCs.

LOL removing the real world MC would take out the easy way for people to connect with the story.

Anyway free flowing thoughts on episode 1:

    Character design ain't so bad
*Sigh* that felling when a MMO closes down hurts a bit...or a guild dies kek
    That boob grope fanservice doe
"So you're saying the skeleton doesn't have a... boner?"
Mare the trap master. Traps 5 evar!
LOL Albedo's Yandare Yuno Face on the ending. XD

Ok first episode. I'm guessing they'll be adapting until Vol. 4-6 then. Expect evil villany stuff in the future.

Character designs are really cool. The guild looks very impressive and definitely evil enough. I'd kill to join that guild. Also like how the members have to be heteromorphic. Animation seems decent, nothing bad to turn me off.

    Those Albedo's faces though. xD

Overlord looks promising. Love villainy stuff.

I wasn't impressed with the animation either, but I was instantly intrigued by the plot. I think it strikes a nice balance, with a plot similar to Log Horizon, but with less of the immaturity that I felt that series suffered from. It also has far more of the MMO feel than SAO ever did, and although it does feel explained a touch unnaturally, I think it handles the MMO elements better than Log Horizon did. So far, I like it.

Honestly, I would have said the opposite ): Plus the fact the 'MMO' feel only lasted half the episode - from here on in everything is going to function as if it is reality.

The whole thing felt far too slick - he knew exactly what to do, with no hiccups. The only implied threat in the future was the two guardians who didn't come? Unless I'm missing something obvious :P.

So, well, I saw the first episode and I've gotta say I quite liked it! Definitely not mind-blowing by any means. Nor bad at all. But it was very entertaining.

Not a big fan of MC's design tbh. Sure, he's very different from what MCs usually look like. But I personally feel that his design is a little overdone. I mean, yeah, I get it. He's supposed to look like the ruler of a world and this evil mofo. But it still could've been taken down a notch or two imo.

I love the designs of the guardians, on the other hand. Albedo, Shalltear and every other guardian looked great. Although I'm mostly indifferent to the designs of trap and her sister lol. The kid guardians, I mean.

As for the plot itself - like Mana said, can definitely see the remaining two guardians going rogue. But apart from that, this just seems like it'll be a ride full of MC-kun being ebil-obarpowah'd-desu and going ham on the poor NPCs. Idk, he doesn't exactly have any goals apart from world domination at this point, no? So we'll probably see him protect his area/guild and also maybe wage war against different countries and places. That's my guess anyway.

OP was nice. ED was better. Loved the Albedo art. Albedo besto grill. <3

You should see his original design.

    Volume covers look sick though.

I won't lie. I think that looks badass as fuck.

But I don't think it would work in an anime. Still, his anime appearance just looks overdone without looking badass which is what I'm not a fan of :v

The underwear comment from Shalltear was just not needed... x____x.

Enjoyed this episode more, and the last few minutes hopefully hints at some action next week?

Nice action this week. Like those evil villainy spells. It'll be intriguing to see how one becomes shoved into a box of dark skeleton warlock villain lord and has to completely oppose their humanity.
