If a theater nearby is offering this movie, I highly recommend any 17 year-old up to see it. It is by far the scariest movie I've seen. It's akin to the blair witch project where the fear and horror is more psychological than anything else. Give it about half an hour until it truly becomes scary.

I would recommend you watch it on a packed night (like I just did) because you will share the experience with whomever you go with and the others around you who are scared as well.

I'm not going to sit here and try to review it, but it's definitely worth the $10.50 at Regal Cinemas.

I feel like I paid nine bucks to see a YouTube video, quite frankly. A few tense moments, sure, but overall pretty boring/laughable. Blair Witch was twenty times the film this was, and that really isn't saying a whole lot. :/

The original Japanes The Ring was not scary either, but nor was the American version.

I heard Paranormal Activities was going nation wide. If so I will be checking it out. Id hate to take someone elses word for something and miss out.

Yeah, it's going nation wide in the US I'm pretty sure. I'm definitely gonna check it out as soon as it comes to Canada.

And as for it being scary, I guess it really just depends on your taste. If you're more into psychological thrillers, then this would probably be the film for you.

Wow, saw the movie today and it proved that hype and puplicity can do wonders to scare you. It was not scary really (Until the part) but the hype had me on edge the entire movie. Good ending though.

Went to check it out a few days ago and it was pretty cool. There were moments when it was plain old laughable (like the psychic returning moment) but overall it wasn't that bad at all. I'm still not sure if I like this or The Blair Witch Project better. :P

    Spoiler:

They did a good job ratcheting up tension and most of the audience in the theater was pretty freaked out. It's something that most people can relate to and the actors were very good at just being 'average' people in an abnormal situation.

    I liked it.

My sister and I are going to see it on sunday :) Im pretty excited. It seems scary!!

My theatre charges 12.50! Lol your luckys yours it 10.50!

Our theatre costs $5.50. And $3.00 on weekend shows before 5PM. :D

Anywhoo, this looked like the most overhyped movie I'd seen in a while. Then I watched it...

... and I was correct. Seriously, that wasn't that scary, and I watched it alone at 3AM with the lights out. The ending was... meh. I'm glad I didn't pay to see it. I was honestly more jumpy watching Zombieland, and that wasn't even meant to scare you.

If you get creeped out by this sort of thing, then I suppose it's decent. It just felt.. really boring, to me.

Just went and saw it last night with a few friends. Honestly, it wasn't as scary as I was hoping, but it was still pretty freakin' creepy.

Oh, and apparently there are two alternate endings.
    Spoiler:

I've seen them both, and I definitely like the second ending better.

I saw the second one. Never heard anything about that first though... I'm guessing you saw that one in the movie theater too?

Saw it with wed at my gf's. She was scared to death the whole time, while I found it dull. Also didn't like the photography, the frames were badly arranged. To this day, the only people who ever made me scared where Hitchcock and Kubrick. Kubrick with his chocking raw violence and Hitchcock with the tension. Most scary movies only make me laugh or sick, and oddly, one of my favourites is one that makes both, Peter Jackson's Braindead - masterpiece(!).

I didn't think the movie was playing in Canada, so I downloaded it the night before we discovered it was. One of the guys I went with missed the face at the end, so I told him I'd show him when we got home (seeing as it was on my computer). That's how we discovered the alternate ending.

Yeah, Im glad they changed it. It was funny because the discriptive text at the end made these girls in the back scream. The movie freaked them out a lot and I couldnt help but laugh. I was feeding off of their energy so when they screamed I did.
