Have you ever wondered why certain things happen? Like that wound on your arm that cannot be explained? As you try to recall, you just cannot remember the reason you got the injury. Why would you have it? It's not as if you have been near a dagger or something. And what about that rash on your waist? Sure, it is easy to ignore it, but why let it happen again? The worrying part is, you do not know why there is a rash in the first place. What if the same reason hurts you again, in a more serious way? You can sneeze on it, but do you want to take the risk? Besides, a sneeze with no known origin can have the same reason.
Have you ever lost something and never found it again? You retrace your steps, look high and low, ask everyone, but the something seems to be spirited away, never to be seen again. You know deep in your heart that it still exists somewhere, where you can find it, but... Why do you get this feeling although you know it is lost and "gone for good"? Is it because we simply believed that... Things cannot just appear and disappear without reason?
Well, I have discovered a hidden dimension deeply connected to the human psyche that may have the answers to these mysteries. I would call it the Mirror World because this is where one's self is revealed. This world is not entirely safe. There are various monsters called "Shadows" that lives there. Shadows are said to be born when people had negative emotions but choose to keep them in their hearts instead of letting them go. Since all human minds think differently, it would be logical to say that no two Shadows are the same. Shadows have varying strength and size too, and probably certain Shadows inhabit specific spots in this world. Shadows fight any intruders in the Mirror World.
I have also discovered ways to enter this dimension. One has to stare hard into a mirror, and hence, the name I gave it. Another way is via dreams. There's no saying that there are more ways. They just remain unknown for the time being. However, only selected people possess the qualities to enter the Mirror World without aid, and fortunately too, because to survive in this world, one needs to overcome its demanding environment. As such, a person's soul prefers to enter the dimension alone, stripped of its subconscious mind which takes care of the vital functions of its body back in the real world, to lighten its burden. But then, if one enters the world in a certain way, it is possible to bring his or her entire existence into this dimension.
So, if one were to ever stumble into this world, what hope does he or she has to survive on? The answer is... his or her self. A person's self is the being that protects its owner. A "Persona". Personae, like Shadows, are the results of the human soul, but they are based on the owner's positive qualities, his talents, her passions, and so fourth. Likewise, everyone's Persona is different in size, strength and appearance, and I believe it's possible for a few, very finely chosen people to possess many Personae. However, most, if not all, Persona users have the chance to switch, renew, improve, evolve, or whatever the process could be called, their Personae into more powerful ones. Of course, that depends on its user too.
But then, one does not automatically become a Persona user merely by crossing over to the other dimension. No, one must earn it. As far as I know, there is only two ways to earn it, one is by signing a particular contract, and the other is to face one's self truthfully. A Persona can be summoned in various ways too, for many reasons. Specialised Personae can detect people, fight Shadows physically, heal the injured, increase the chances of fleeing from enemies, cast powerful spells, and perhaps more that I know nothing of, but usually not all at the same time. A Persona is important, no, essential for survival in the Mirror World. I would guess that it is the equivalent of the subconscious mind for the consciousness in the Mirror World.
The potential of this world is huge when it comes to providing solutions to mysteries in the real world. The unexplained wounds could be created by a Shadow as when it separates from the creator's fully occupied heart to make way for other emotions, it desperately tries to cling on with no avail and scratched the person. As for the missing items, they appeared in this world with no apparent reason or obvious way. Maybe their owners had such a deep emotional attachment to them that they just appeared? More in-depth investigation is needed for the time being as not a lot is really known in this world. Some teenagers are frequent explorers of the Mirror World. It is not surprising, really, since their age groups are often the ones that have a deep desire to discover themselves. If their will for self-discovery is strong enough, no doubt they will gain entry. After all, this world is all about the human psyche. Human will is the ticket.
If my deductions are right, the mysterious comas in the real world have something to do with this world. Yes, I believe the deaths that follow the comas are direct results of the death of their souls in this world, and therefore, their physical body dies as well. Perhaps a body can survive only that long without a conscious mind. So many questions, so few answers. I need to keep in touch with these teenage Personae users. They may have information that I do not know. Like how to get out of this world.

X-735Y3R
The comas and the related deaths are not the only deaths that are linked to the other world. For now, it will be the Mirror World-related deaths that we will be involved in.
The comas and the deaths are still going on. All the facts in the note are true. But when is it written? Who does the codename X-735Y3R belong to? All that is known about this note is the place it was found: in the other dimension.
You are a student in a private high school in a modern city. You do not know about this other world. Until something happens and changes your life and those who once shared your fate... For better or worse? How you use your new found Persona is entirely up to you. You could help prevent the demise of those in coma, or you could accelerate their doom. You could try to find the cause(s) for the comas, or you could BE one of the causes. The power is yours, use it wisely.

The mandatory SU sheet
Name: First and last.
Age: Anywhere within the range of 14 to 17
Gender: Male or female. Sorry, no third genders.
Weapon of choice: Bows and arrows? Axes? Guns? Swords? Or just a good old fashioned rod to beat the crap out of a Shadow? Whatever it is, your character will not be walking around in the real world with a weapon.
Appearance: This is split into two parts. Part one describes the character in the real world. Part two describes how the character looks like in the Mirror World. Think of the Mirror World like the cyber world. Although you choose the image to upload as your profile picture, you don't look like your profile image, do you? Describe your character's permanent characteristics, like eye colour, height, complexion and so on. At least five sentences for each part.
Personality: At least ten sentences of good size.
History: At least ten sentences too.
Persona (RPers don't have to use a Persona from the game. Even if you want to, yes, you can change its elemental properties, skills and such to the extent that the only similarity is the name. Think of the Persona as an imaginary friend. An imaginary friend doesn't have to be related to legends and folklore, or be the hero even if it is. If a person likes baking, his or her persona can be something that seems to be wearing a baker's tall, puffy, white hat and resembles an oven. There's no wrong to how a Persona looks, so long as it looks right to the user.)
Name:
Appearance: Five sentences, at least.
Trivia: This is optional because it is flavour text. You can invent a folklore involving the Persona, what its special abilities are, or maybe its personality if it has a separate will from its user. Anything you see fit.
Elemental properties (Pick between neutral, strong and weak for the following elements. The number of elemental strengths cannot be more than the number of weaknesses. No, you cannot be neutral to everything, and the maximum number of elemental strengths is two. You can change the elemental properties, albeit later in the RP.)
Physical:
Fire:
Ice:
Electric:
Wind:
Light:
Dark:
Statistics (Pick between poor, below average, average, above average, and excellent. The number of excellent stats cannot be more than the number of poor stats. Same goes for above average and below average respectively. No, you cannot have completely average stats. The stats are permanent, choose wisely.)
HP: Determines how much pain the user can take before he or she goes down. It is also a cost for using a Persona's physical skills.
SP: It costs a number of SP for one to summon a Persona other than to use physical skills. The cost is affected by what the Persona is summoned to do.
Strength: Determines the damage output of physical moves, including weapon attacks
Endurance: Determines how much physical pain the user feels. The higher the endurance, the less pain is felt.
Magic: Determines the damage output of magical skills.
Agility: Determines who will dish out the first blow.
Luck: Affects hit ratio, slightly affects evasion.
(Optimally, pick one each of excellent and poor, an equal number of above and below average, then the rest is average. Note that the HP and SP value is dependent on the owner, not the Persona.)
Skills: What type of skills does the Persona learn? Healing? Physical? Ally support? Enemy annoyers? Offensive elemental magic? If you pick three, give one each of weak, moderate and strong. If you pick two, go with one moderate and one strong. If you pick only one, it will be a very strong one. Example: Moderate healing skills, strong physical skills.
Signature Skill: This is it! It is a skill which only this Persona can learn. Give the name and effect, including the element* it can be associated with, as well as how early the Persona learns it. Don't overdo it, though.
*Note that it is "element", not "elements".
