physical or special water type?

i cant decide between swampert and vaporeon/starmie. not milotic because it is so OU and has many counters.
on my team i have arcanine, umbreon, gallade, and metagross so far. and other than arcanines flamethrower there is no other special type moves. i will list there moves if u want.

umbreon is support(mean look/baton pass)
arcanine is mixed(flamethrower/extremespeed/crunch/thunder fang)
metagross is physical(agilitigross)
gallade is physical(bulk up/night slash/psycho cut/CC)

i think vaporeon for tanking purposes. suggestions?

Starmie. Your team lacks the sp. sweeper(cept Mr. Arcanine), which means Skarmory or Steelix can butt in and give you quite a pain XD

Take Psychic, its a STAB move, and Starmie doesn't have the defense to pull off a recover, and substitute, anything to go w/ that? Confuse Ray is just too risky (although VERY VERY annoying XD)
