    Plant Beatdown {YUGIOH}

I've been throwing together a plant beatdown for awhile, and I'd like some C&C. I'll post my build here, but stay tuned for some updates. I'm still thinking about running synchros, it depends.

    Monsters
    Botanical Lion (3)
    Gigantic Cephalotus (3)
    Gigaplant (3)
    Lonefire Blossom (2)
    Twilight Rose Knight (1)
    Tytannical, Princess of Camellias (1)
    Dandylion (3)
    Sangan (2)

    Synchro Monsters
    Black Rose Dragon (1)
    Queen of Thorns (1)

    Spells
    Lightning Vortex (1)
    Mark of the Rose (3)
    Miracle Fertilizer (1)
    Mystical Space Typhoon (1)
    Swords of Revealing Light (1)
    The World Tree (1)

    Traps
    Bottomless Trap Hole (1)
    Call of the Haunted (1)
    Dark Bribe (1)
    Mirror Force (1)
    Plant Food Chain (3)
    Pollinosis (3)
    Solemn Judgment (1)
    Wall of Thorns (2)

NOTE: This is advanced format; I go by the banning/limited rules. Please don't suggest any banned cards. Thanks~

Jesus Christ, I quit for a year and plants are suddenly facktardedly broken ._X

Can you do me a favor and replace all that silly coding and broken image links with the quantity of each card you're running? It'll help draw attention to the thread. Thanks :)

They work for me, I wonder why you can't see them. D: What browser do you use? (that might change something?)

I still need numbers. The links and such work fine, just...there are no numbers for each card so I get a good idea of how much of a certain card are in the deck.

    lolwut

    -1 Lonefire Blossom
    -2 Heavy Storm
    -2 Mystical Space Typhoon
    -1 Smashing Ground

    -2 Fragrance Storm
It's too situational and is going to drain you of resources if you're not lucky.

Not much else to say. I don't know what to add, but you should be at 40 cards, not 48. :V

    Monsters
    Botanical Lion (1)
    Copy Plant (2)
    Gigantic Cephalotus (1)
    Gigaplant (3)
    Lonefire Blossom (3)
    Lord Poison (3)
    Nettles (3)
    Twilight Rose Knight (1)
    Tytannial, Princess of Camellias (1)
    Violet Witch (2)

    -1 Copy Plant
    -1 Lonefire Blossom
    -3 Nettles
    -2 Violet Witch
    +1 Dandylion
    +1 Morphing Jar
    +1 Sangan
    +1 Tytannial, Princess of Camellias
+X Botanical Lion / Gigantic Cephalotus

Copy Plant is useless outside of your small window of Synchros and it's easily searchable and revivable with a Plant-type backbone. Lonefire Blossom is semi-limited to 2. Nettles is near useless in this type of deck (and Copy Plant is much more versatile). Violet Witch won't really benefit you because it's a Spellcaster and the things you'll be searching for will 100% of the time be Lonefire Blossom anyway (or it should be); I replaced them with Sangan and Morphing Jar. Dandylion is a phenomenal card (especially with Tytannial). Tytannial is always good in twos.

Other monsters you may consider: UFO Turtle, Naturia Rosewhip

    Synchro Monsters
    Black Rose Dragon (1)
    Queen of Thorns (1)

+1 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
    +1 Goyo Guardian
    +1 Thought Ruler Archfiend
    +1 Red Archfiend Dragon
    +1 Stardust Dragon

(just fill this up to 15 at least)

    Spells
    Fragrance Storm (2)
    Heavy Storm (3)
    Lightning Vortex (1)
    Mark of the Rose (3)
    Miracle Fertilizer (1)
    Mystical Space Typhoon (3)
    Smashing Ground (2)
    Swords of Revealing Light (1)
    The World Tree (1)

    -2 Fragrance Storm
    -2 Heavy Storm
    -3 Mark of the Rose
    -2 Mystical Space Typhoon
    +1 Giant Trunade
    +1 Miracle Fertalizer

    Traps
    Bottomless Trap Hole (1)
    Call of the Haunted (1)
    Dark Bribe (1)
    Mirror Force (1)
    Plant Food Chain (3)
    Pollinosis (1)
    Solemn Judgment (1)
    Wall of Thorns (2)

Wall of Thorns isn't really necessary in any capacity, but I won't say to remove it. You may want to run additional copies of Pollinosis, though.

I didn't count the cards, so the suggestions I made may drop you below 40; you'll just need to fill those up :3
You may also want to side-deck Imperial Iron Wall.

For the record, I run this. You may like it better since it feels a lot more beatdown than a normal plant deck:

I guess you're right with Fragrance Storm, but I don't see how the rest (besides heavy storm) would fall in the situational category. :/

    Spoiler:

    I don't really see the point of having 15 synchros. Plus, it's a (no offense) damned plant deck XD; I know there's other support cards (Arcane Archer, etc.) but I don't see Stardust Dragon in my deck any time soon. :O Also, what the hell? Lonefire is semi-limited? When did that happen? o_o;

I used to run Sangan, and worked well, but I tried a different deck , which worked better. I might throw it back in there and see how it goes, but I'll have to check up on my deck afterward. Please note, this deck is advanced format, so no banned cards pl0x :x

Editting build~ Thanks for the comments.

He only said Fragrance Storm was situational (and it's not very good anyway). You can only have ONE copy of Heavy Storm, TWO of Lonefire Blossom, ONE Smashing Ground, and ONE of Mystical Space Typhoon because the rules say so.

You want 15 Synchros just because you want variety and... You can. There's no loss in filling up your Extra Deck with the maximum amount of cards -- in fact, before there even was a limit, the best move would have been to put 3 of every Synchro and Fusion in it.

There are sometimes extremely rare situations where you get a Tuner from your opponent or you have an awkward amount of stars, etc. You want to be able to cover as many Levels as possible while still following the deck's strategy... You never know where the random Armory Arm or Ally of Justice - Catastor may come in handy.

Even though it doesn't specifically target Plants, Sangan is very useful in Plant-type decks because it can target (1) Lonefire Blossom, and thereby any Plant in the Deck, (2) Morphing Jar, which I added to fuel the Graveyard, where Plant-types thrive, (3) Dandylion, which you use for discards. Violet Witch only gets the upper hand on Sangan because it can add Gigaplant to your hand, but you NEVER want that to happen anyway, unless you already have a Gigaplant on the field that has its Gemini effect activated.

I also didn't suggest any banned cards at all, I don't think.

edit You can only have one Dandylion in your deck.
Remove two Mystical Space Typhoon and add 1 Heavy Storm and 1 Giant Trunade; remove Dark Bribe or Wall of Thorns for a second Pollinosis.
    Add 1 Copy Plant back.

oshi- sorry, I was working on something else when I was putting up the numbers. I'm sorry (emberrassed) I knew that, editting.

    Trust me, I know Sangan is great in plant decks, and UFO too. If I can get my hands on a UFO, I'll probably run it. ><;

I know you didn't, I was just adding that in case.

real sorry about the numbers, I was occupied so I put the wrong ones. D:

    Editting again...
