Play as a Pokémon.

I've been wondering for a while, and I think I'm going to go ahead with a project, but i want a few people to tell me that they're interested, so that I don't get bogged down!

I'm thinking about a game where you actually play as a Pokémon for once, and not just the trainer. A bit like in Mystery Dungeon. I've got character sets and a storyline planned out, so I'm just wondering what anyone else thinks.

Or, how would anyone feel about a game where you play as a trainer for half and a Pokémon for the other half, so that you could find out each's opinions on what goes on around them. Also, I have considered this idea and have a plan for two separate battle systems.

Just tell me what you guys think.

You could do it like the online game: Pokemon rp where you can choose wheteher you want to be a pokemon or a trainer.

This sounds awesome. If you need sprites to be converted into charsets I might be able to help if I have spare time(though I warn you I'm slow at it).
