Assuming they're near mint or better, you can look them up on PriceCharting (just make sure you're looking at the proper set, edition, etc.). Otherwise, check recently sold listings on eBay, using the filters to narrow down the results to cards in similar condition to get an idea of what they're going for. Off the top of my head, I think the Kanto Starters (especially Charizard/Dark Charizard), Lugia, and the 1st ed. Typhlosion are your biggest guys.

Also, I spy a counterfiet Gyarados (second row, last column). EDIT: Machamp is fake, too.

Yeah I missed the Machamp and Gyarados while taking out fakes. Also, first time I have noticed the 1st edition on the Typhlosion. Thanks for pointing these out!

I also have a lot of common cards, like 3-4k. I would like to make playable decks from them. Is there a place where I could lookup old deck builds?

Google "old Pokémon decks" and you should get plenty of helpful hits. Jason Klaczynski's Retro Pokémon TCG, for example.

For old decks I would suggest finding an old rulebook, since the rules are different now. There's a channel called Holon Phantom on Youtube who does a lot of old deck match ups and he's had some pretty cool ideas in his vids that are worth checking out.

As Icy said, Jason is probably the best resource for old formats with modern mindsets. Jason is arguably the greatest player in Pokemon TCG Competitive history. So he really knows his stuff, and he was around and active for a lot of these older formats

    That's Jason's site, well worth a dive.
