PokéCommunity is home to a wealth of very talented people, and this thread aims to celebrate that creativity. Whether you run a YouTube channel, stream on Twitch, produce music on SoundCloud, run an art blog on Instagram, host a podcast, or anything else, feel free to plug yourself and highlight some of your proudest work here.

    What should you consider including?
A link to what you're promoting (YouTube channel, SoundCloud link, blog, etc.)
A brief outline of who you are and what you do
    Music genres
    Video topics/genres
    Games you play
    Podcast name/subject
    etc.
A few tasters of your work (1–2 video links, 2–3 song links, 3–4 pictures, etc.)
    Use spoilers!!!
Don't post your whole library or discography if you have more than a few entries
Don't over-format your post; there's nothing wrong with a bit of visual flair, but if there's too much going on in your post it will be more off-putting than anything.
What doesn't belong in this thread?
Anything that the mods wouldn't allow. (Like NSFW channel links, etc) In other words, have common sense.

Other than that, enjoy what other members post and hope that they enjoy yours! Well, go on ahead, post away!

    [PokeCommunity.com] Plug Yourself Here!

I appreciate the idea of a thread existing as an opportunity to plug things we do or make, because honestly I've always loved opportunities to talk about what I've done, but never wanted to just shill for the sake of getting attention. So thank you for extending an invitation.

I'm a writer! I have a blog I've named Dream With You where I post articles talking about my feelings on whatever I'm passionate about. Most of the time it's been articles on the anime I enjoy, where I talk about things like why they're special to me or make me feel a certain way, why I think certain parts like an anime's songs or characters are well-made, or things like one article being more of a persuasive essay-type deal talking about why the dub of an anime is worth watching and respecting. Since it's just whatever I'm really enjoying in the moment though, I could really decide to write whatever I want.

I've been inspired to write it from the video essays I've enjoyed listening to on YouTube, but I've always wanted my writing to focus on being a very close and personal experience focusing on my personal feelings and opinions, and have always wanted my writing to feel like I'm talking to the viewer as a close friend in a casual conversation, and not anything formal like an essay. When writing I follow some promises I've set for myself such as only writing whatever I enjoy and want to talk about, that I always want my passion to be clear to the viewer, and to help them understand the topic and not feel like they need to have watched whatever anime I talk about. So I have a huge focus on wanting to both be casual and accessible!

Here is a direct link to my blog, which will stay in my signature permanently for the foreseeable future, but I'll offer a couple direct links to specific articles I'd like to show off:
Here is my newest article, about why Zombieland Saga is so special, as both a really good anime about idols, and a really good show mocking idol anime for the people who think they're lame.
And here is one of the articles I'm most proud of, about how I became a fan of Love Live, the things I missed by getting into it so late, and how I learned to enjoy being a fan of it in the current moment without worrying about what I missed in the past.

Thank you for your time and attention!

I've dabbled in a few different things myself, the most serious of which were probably my YouTube channels. I'm not going to link them because they're mostly deleted, are incredibly cringy to look back on and also have my voice (which I don't feel comfortable sharing on PC atm, and I wouldn't want my first impression to be me giving my searing hot takes on current events circa 2021 while playing Tropico 4 anyway). But I invested a good amount of time into making videos. I had a few Let's Play focused channels, but my favorite has to be one I had centered around the concept of playing the first ~20 minutes of an RPG Maker game each episode and reviewing it at the end. At the time I was also interested in game dev, and the channel intersected perfectly with that. I didn't keep it going for too long, but I think it had potential since my most viewed video had around 50 views. I haven't ruled out the possibility of restarting things, but I can't say I'm in a hurry to go back since it took a LOT of time and work.

Following up on the game dev stuff, I had a very strong interest in it and especially RPG Maker for a good amount of time. I spent many hours messing around in the various engines, but I never got anything too serious made. My terrible art/spriting skills always prevented me from making anything too ambitous or appealing; I am going to attach a short game I made with my sister in June 2021 though. Although it's only about 5 minutes long and not very good, I can attest that we both had a blast making it, and it was a fond trip down memory lane going back through it. The singular enemy design, the special thanks art and about ~35% of the dialouge is from her; while the programming/the remaining ~65% of the dialouge is mine. Do note however that the RPG Maker XP RTP needs to be installed for it to run. Outside of that, I'm currently trying to become a writer for the Pokecommunity Daily, I got my first pitch approved recently which is really exciting. I feel like writing is really a strength of mine and contributing to Daily allows me to combine that with my interest for Pokemon and the PokeCommunity. That alongside helping out with some of the GT is the first serious creative endeavor I've been involved in for a long time, and it definitely feels good to be making things again, hopefully with the lessons from my previous experiences leading to a smoother experience and a higher level of quality.

I guess this is where I'll have to reveal some things I'd rather keep hidden about the stuff I did before arriving here, huh.

I just do random game modding & content creation-related stuff, mostly. I've only started to take this stuff more seriously fairly recently.
Before I showed up here, I did some stuff around in Awful Community A which are nothing to note. Where I started to actually cook was Awful Community B dubbed the Sarby 2 where I would have a hand in making and eventually after enduring near mind-breaking torment, finishing two character mods for said game. The Penguin & the Slicer. I'm not exactly proud of that work, but I did the best with what I was given.

    Spoiler:

As of recently, I've been working on concepts & sprites for my smaller & far less stressful Extradex project that ask the question of "What if pokemon regions that didn't originally have their own pokemon were given their own pokemon?"I will not spend any more time explaining this or the second project I am planning to get started because I as well as the people I interacted with wanted the thorough explanations to be their own separate threads. But I will leave a little taste here regardless in the form of a few Crystal Styled Sprites. Once again, I'm working with what I can do right now.
    Spoiler:

All this otherwise random game-related stuff I do serves a purpose of improving my proficiency in the skills I'm going to need to tackle what I've dubbed the real deal. Maybe I'll find more quick opportunities to improve my skills around the internet, who knows?
