A good friend of mine has been kind enough to allow me to use their account to host pictures, so I'm able to post my Anthro works. This first one involves the same good friend. Rescently we've had a disagreement that had hurt us both emotionally. This was a picture I made to make up for it. It's on lined paper and in pencil, so it may not show thorugh too well. But hopefully the message across the top is still visible. This features my anthro gal Jannette Green gazing forlornly at a picture of her dear ones.

This is one possibly the only non-anthro drawing to my name. Besides teh Shobu one I can't find. This is Brian Easterly, my RP character for Misadventures at Hogwartz. I drew this guy up and colored him within ten minutes. Hopefully he looks better than a ten minute drawing. I know this is double posting, but I felt it was inapropriate to add to the other post.

Anthro is short for Anthropomorphic, basically meaning an animal morph. THat's really the only term I've heard used, besides furries. :\

I actually just finished filling a request for Mew13 for a white cat anthro, and once I find myself a working scanner, that will be the first one to go up.

I think basically what I'm trying to say is if you want yourself an anthro pic, don't hesitate to request one.

Time for anthro 101. Sort of... I'm not really an expert, but I think this is correct:

Anthro refers to anything with human-like characteristics and humans themselves. The term is most commonly associated with human-like animals but it also refers to humanlike objects and the like. For example, Hitmonchan is anthro because he is humanshape, and that candle dude in Beauty and the Beast is anthro because he's quite humanlike.

Furries refers only to anthromorphic animals. To me, something is not a furry unless the creator says that it is (for example, if you've ever seen Goldenwolf's art, she calls them anthro but not furry, so her wolf people are not furries). Furries have a tendency to be so humanlike they wear clothes, drive cars, and have names like Karen and Dave. Also, furries are based off real animals. There is a darker side to furries which is yiff, basically furry porn. Yiff is what gives furries a bad name, and furry haters will often target "safe" furry artists.

So in short, furries are anthro but anthro are not furries.

Having to edit because I found I misudnerstood teh dictionary definition. It is true Furries are Anthros, and it is true That not all antrhos are furries. But i must simply argue that the addition of clothes and names does not reverse the roll from an animal with human like characteristics to a human with animal like characteristics. For example, I dress all my anthros, allow them to speak english, and give them all names, but they are as much anthro as they are furry. I use the term anthro because it is more politically correct, and it doesn't bear the perverted connotation that Furry suggests.

So, does anthro go for any animal character that is human-like? Like, say...Bugs Bunny? If so, then that means I draw some anthro (although I'm moving mroe to just human humans now)

While I'm busy preparing more of my pictures for upload, I'm looking to see if anyone wants to Request an anthro rendition. So long as the species, skin color, clothes, and all the serious details are given, I can produce the best anthro rendition I can possibly make. All anyone needs to do is ask.

Did some line art today on a new series of pictures I'm calling "Duke's Fighting Stance". YOu can see my Character Duke for the first time. The pictures are line art on lined paper, so they may not show up so well until I load teh lineless color version. Plus part one for some reason refuses to be hosted. :\ But here is part 2 of that series.
