    Hey, guys! LordFanfic here!

I've been writing a SliceOfLife fanfic featuring only Pokémon living in a community in a forest, next to a human village.

The story takes place on Onamuya, an island near Alola that is a great vacation destination for both humans and Pokémon. Also, being very much in favor of Pokémon welfare, it has completely banned Pokémon battles and fights, something for which there has been a lot of controversy in recent years, with the rejection of many trainers and part of the public opinion.

It is about a completely different Rowlet boy who arrives on the island in search of a new life after having traveled the world in his five years of life. He arrives in the forest and meets Percy (a 6-year-old Riolu) and Eevee (5 years old), who take him in with their Pokémon family and he is then adopted by them. He soon joins the Gang formed by his two friends, forming an Adventure and Expedition Team. But it's not just about this, it's about the many things that happen in the Bosque community.

    - Chapter 1: End of the voyage! -

A sunny day in the middle of the wide sea. The waves, although noticeable, are not too rough and you can see how they break on the water itself, letting the salty foam drain for a few seconds, and then quickly disappear, engulfed by new waves. In the distance, a large island hides much of the horizon crowned by a large mountain. On the side from where we started this story, where only a large forest can be seen, further to the left, a village begins from which its continuation curves.

    .

On the radio that Row wore around his neck, in addition to his small but well-stocked bag, played that beautiful Gluck music that had always fascinated Rowlet. The music accompanied him day and night, by sea, land or air, no matter if it was pouring rain, snowing or unbearably hot: it was a breath of air for him, to keep him from being tormented by his own sorrows and his own past

"Laaaa... laaaa... la la la la la la la la la la laaaa.... laaa laaa laaa laaa laaa laaa laaa laaa laaa...." he flew through the sky as he hummed the sweet melody. "Can't wait to get there!".

Row was not the same as the others of his kind: he was a bit larger than usual, which made him a bit heavier, a slight disadvantage when it came to getting carried away on air currents. The brown fur that colored his wings and head was stronger than usual, and around his eyes, belly and inside his wings were golden spots that made him more peculiar than usual. Because of these things he had been left alone. No flock wanted to take in someone so different and who, a month after birth, barely knew how to fly. However, he didn't want to think too much about it now, especially since the end of his long journey was just around the corner.

"Come on, just a little longer and we'll be in Onamuya!" he encouraged himself. And rightly so, because he could already see the waves forming towards the white sandy shores. Instantly he began to fly over that great forest. It wasn't a matter of time before he could see the whole town overhead. He paused for a moment, hovering in the air as he gazed at the place in awe: "Wow, this place is great, just like that advertisement I saw in Galar!".

He descended quickly and, slowing his flight, landed on the branch of a tree. Over a small cliff: from there he could see Burning Town, one of the island's towns, which stretched considerably along the coast, ending not far away, covered by another, somewhat larger cliff, with some ponds of water on natural rock platforms. Next to the sandy beach, a large promenade of black and white stone slabs, where there were also some stores and stores.

On the beach, many people and Pokémon could be seen enjoying that paradisiacal place. Some were sunbathing, others were playing on the shore or among the waves, and of course there were those who took the opportunity to pose in front of their cell phone cameras in countless sefies. All in all, a very suitable summer resort, although in Row's case, it would be an ideal place to stay

He hadn't realized that the music had changed. The Dance of the Blessed Spirits was one of Row's favorite parts of Gluck's opera "Orpheus and Eurydice." From then on only the voice of a man speaking in German sounded.

    - Is the program over already? How soon, it usually lasts two hours, today it has only been one hour....

Having said that, he switched off the device and put the antenna away. At that moment he closed his eyes and breathed in the salty scent of the sea: the sound of the waves crashing against the cliff was more than relaxing. He remembered the brochure he had found in that park in the Galar region: it advertised an island that had started to become tremendously popular, on the same level as Alola, even though it didn't host any leagues or have any stadiums. This was because Onamuya had a very peculiar policy on Pokémon: battles between Pokémon as a sport were completely forbidden, because it was considered a forced use for training and fighting - which was not always the case, but there were quite a few - and was therefore harmful, as well as damaging them. On the contrary, they were seen, like animals, as the best friends and equals of humans, although without forgetting their true essence.

This, of course, had caused a division of public opinion: those who were against the contests and those who were. Those who were, argued that the competitions were done just like soccer is done, like a championship in which two teams face each other and the one that does best wins, and that it did not harm the Pokémon, but rather weakened it, but restored its energy. But the opposition argued just the opposite, something that ended up turning into a pitched battle in the end, but let's not focus on that just yet.

She put the radio in her bag, leaving it next to her, making sure it was balanced without the possibility of falling. She closed her eyes and, having the wonderful sound of the waves in the background, she decided to take a nap...

But that was not to be.

Suddenly, he began to hear some laughter that had approached the place. It sounded like children, although Row found it strange that they were interested in that area.

    - Wait, don't go so fast! - shouted a boy's voice as he let out some laughter.

    - You won't catch me! I'm the fastest Eevee on the whole island!

    - Huh? - muttered the Rowlet to himself. - An Eevee? Well, now I'm really not going to....

And suddenly, by pure chance of fate, the tree shook hard.

    - Aaaay! - exclaimed the boy's voice.

Rowlet did not manage to keep his balance. He tried to use his wings to keep himself up, but it was useless: he fell from the tree quickly, face up, and the bag right next to him.

    - Ouch, what a blow... Looks like I won't be able to rest for today, ho....

But suddenly, he realized that he was not alone: indeed, an Eevee had crashed into the tree trunk, that was what had made him fall. This one was holding part of its forehead with one of its front paws, sitting on the ground while a Riolu was trying to see if it had done something to itself, its back to the Rowlet.

    - But they're Pokémon too!

That was said out loud, though he had actually said it to himself. Suddenly, the Riolu turned towards him and was surprised to see him, the same happened with the Eevee. They both approached him, wanting to help him up.

    - Oh, sorry, I didn't see you until now! - exclaimed the Riolu.

    - Where did you come from? Because I don't think you fell from the sky, did you? - said Eevee laughing heartily.

Seeing that they were friendly, Row smiled. The two of them held out their paw to Rowlet and helped it up.

    - Ha ha! Well, he had just arrived after a long flight over the sea, he was on one of the branches of the tree, resting for a while.

    - By sea? Don't tell me you're coming from Alola! It's one of my favorite regions, I always dream of going on vacation there! Is it nice there? - Riolu hadn't realized that she was being more curious than she should be.

    - From Alola? Not exactly, I'm coming from Galar, but I made a stop on that island...

    - On Galar!? - exclaimed Riolu, even more excited, "Wow, Galar is an amazing region, isn't it?

    - Hey, relax Percy, we just met him, why don't you calm down a bit? Give him some space. - Eevee said smiling.

    - "So his name is Percy!" - Row thought. - The truth is that I just came from far away, Galar was just one of my rest stops, although I left there because of the cold.... Oh, and because of an advertisement I saw about this island!

    - An advertisement? - they both asked at the same time. Row nodded and, taking her bag, began to rummage through it until she pulled out some sort of brochure folded several times:

"Come to Unamuna, the summer resort for humans and pokémon."

Basically, it detailed all the points of interest and the many things you could do there, as well as stressing their fondness for pokémon about how it was a safe place and for a great vacation, with pokémon fighting and such being forbidden.

    - I didn't know they had advertised Onamuya, how cool! - said Percy, excited.

    - So you're Percy, right? - Row asked.

    - The one and only, alive and kicking, the only one in the whole world! - he exclaimed, striking a funny heroic pose, showing pride as his eyes sparkled. - No one is the same as me in the whole world!

    - And that's why you're just an ordinary Riolu! - Eevee said, and started laughing nonstop.

Percy got a little angry and frowned.

    - Hey, it was just a joke, I just wanted to be friendly!

    - It's okay, don't worry!" and to dissuade him, he introduced himself: "My name is Row.

Percy forgot about what happened and, without thinking twice, gave him a tight hug as well as an affectionate hug. Eevee did the same.

    - Welcome! - they both shouted.

Row responded just as strongly, smiling: it was the first hug he had ever received in his whole life, and that made him very excited.

    - Thank you very much!

They both separated. Percy and Eevee looked at each other determinedly and nodded to each other. Then they looked back at the Rowlet.

    - Come on, don't just stand there, we have a lot of things to show you! - said Percy excitedly.

    - We have many things to show you! - added Percy.

And so, the three of them set off, with Row excited about the new beginning that was just a stone's throw away.

Hi hi, and welcome to the forums! So I'm dropping by real quick to mention that posting links here is breaking the rules of this section as it could be counted as advertising:

    Post on the Forum:
Your story must be present on this site. No linking to another site as this could technically count as advertising. This also goes against the "First post must include some of your story" rule. People mostly prefer to read stories that are here anyways, so posting the story here is really in your best interest.

I'll still leave this thread open for a little while to give you a chance to edit the first post with the full Chapter One, which you can easily do by copy and paste the chapter into here. If you have any other questions let me know!
