Pokémon TCG Pocket Specific Card Question

I can't find a board anywhere that is just about card questions, so I'll ask here.

The AI used a Pikachu whose power was supposed to be -30 per card on my bench. I had no cards on my bench but it still hit me with -90. Clearly I'm missing something. Has anyone run across this? Thanks.

The damage is based off of the bench of the player using the Pikachu. The AI likely had a full bench, thus the 90 damage.
