We all know the plot to the Pokemon series of video games:

Bright-eyed, bushy-tailed young boy or girl leaves hearth and home to be railroaded around a heavily forested continent and compete in the Pokemon League, incidentally thwarting the nefarious plans of an evil organization of grown men and women along the way.

My challenge to you, PKCM, is to try and come up with clever, yet reasonable, variations on these themes.

An evil organization of children? A region made up mostly of desert? Up to you guys.

Thanks to global warming, sinking cities, as well as TONS of natural disasters, the Earth has gone through another continental shift, only to cause strange occurences to have happened.

Pallet Town. 2058 AD.

A yellow rodent-like creature has been recorded to have been found in the outskirts of Route 1. Professor Samuel Oak has been studying these creatures for decades. Ash Ketchum, a local Palleter, has journeyed off from his own to start his legacy as a Pokemon master, with a full Pokedex and a Black Trainer Card: that familiar yellow mouse was called Pecatua kantosis, a Pokemon species discovered by the same professor that discovered that species: Professor Oak has dubbed about 493 of these discovered creatures Pokemon. Now, criminal syndicates such as Team Rocket have been searching for these Pokemon that have exsisted in such myths. Ash soons finds out that he is one of the superchildren Team Rocket have made to go into contact with Pokemon, all because of his father, Giovanni Varga-Ketchum.

A Complex Version of What is Pokemon?

Pokemon are mysterious creatures: They have been known to come from ordinary animals that survived the continental shift during 2041. Now, they have been adaptable to any environment, and they have learned many techniques that are up to their reactions. Take a Marllipa gigantesis for example, also known as Azumarril. They have come from otters that have survived the shift due to melting polar icecaps. Now, they are able to control ice and use their bodies to fire it in a move called; Ice Beam.
