    Pokémemories

Looking back on days of old, what are the best (or worst) memories you've had playing Pokemon? :)

I remember going on vacation to Florida one year when I was ten and I finally caught the roaming Cressilia in Pearl. I think I caught her in a Great Ball by some dumb luck. I was super excited because I had tried everything and it didn't seem to work!

I named her Moonbeam. I even began to think that Cressilia's cry sounded like she was saying "Moonbeam."

I was so excited/happy that I wrote about it for my 4th grade memoir project. :)

My best memory of the entire series was discovering the games. I saw my cousin playing LeafGreen and decided to give it a go; the concept of exploring and collecting different species of monsters quickly hooked me. Battling didn't become my favorite part of the game until later on. I was fascinated by your ability to walk into buildings and talk to NPCs, along with going into dark caves not knowing what you'll encounter. The feeling I had upon getting my very own copy of Emerald is something that has never been matched by subsequent titles.

The initial match with Cynthia was so memorable, even though it happened nearly 10 years ago!

Any pokemon? I used to love the card game. I remember playing against my cousin. He was two years older than me and a poke-nerd. He knew everything and always beat me. But I actually beat him! I used my water deck and won, my Vaporeon helped :p

One of the most memorable moments in Pokemon for me would have to be beating Lance in the first Pokemon game I ever played, Gold. It was so exciting and I had lost to him a few times. When I beat him, I felt a pride and exhilaration that has yet to be matched by any of the Pokemon games that followed. There's a lot I'd give up to go back and do it all over again xD

This is my most annoying thing that has happened to me in Pokemon.
One time when I was playing Pokemon gold on the GBC and I had started a new game (the first time when I was younger I was stuck in goldenrod because I didn't realize how continue. I had a level 53 feraligatr : ). ) In the first part of the journey when you have no pokeballs I was walking in route 1 and encountered a shiny sentret. Out of all the times when I could have gotten that 1/8192 chance, it happened when I couldn't catch any Pokemon.

Ok so I was in school, and I had FireRed or LeafGreen. I had a friend who wanted to trade with me. He promised he'd give me shinies and nice stuff, and I guess we couldn't trade in school or something so I ended up actually giving him my cartridge like the idiot that I was.

The next day he gives me my cartridge back and when I turned it on I discovered that he took almost all of my good Pokemon and left me with almost nothing. I was super pissed at him for a while, but this motivated me to spend extra time on the game so I ended up raising a level 100 Tyranitar and other powerful Pokemon, and then competed and won lots of battles in the Trainer Tower. This was my best memory. My worst is when I found shinies that I couldn't catch! >_>
