When I check my pokedex, and see the Area of the pokemon, there are flashing blue bars and sometimes red. what does it mean when its red, and when its blue? how about the speed of the flash, does that mean the frequency of the pokemon?

All I know that if it's blue, the pokemon can be encountered of grass or land. When Red, it's a special encounter, like PokeRadar or Honey trees.

Test the speed of the flash, like a zubat in night time, then a Marill and focus on the Grand March. if the flash is any slower with the marril, that means the frequency of pokemon
