Post reviews of Movie 12 here.
Okay, so surprisingly, the reason I saw this is the same reason as movie 11. I'm hanging out with my friend for my 19th birthday, and what should come on but the premier of Movie 12? Well I remember back then when I came on this site a lot, a lot of talk about movie 12. So I Figure to give it a shot. It might be good.
All in all, it wasn't that bad.
We do however see the return of some of the key elements in the pokemon movie business. One that came in this movie was the return of a prophecy coincidentially involving Ash Ketchum. Seriously? Ash Ketchum is becoming more popular of a celebrity in this cartoon than Opra is today. He helps legendary pokemon, saves the world countless times....what more could a kid want right?
Anyway, we have Arcenus or whats his face. An angry God-like pokemon that is angered by a betrayal by an apparent friend in the past. The people of today want redemption but Arcenus is still a bit angry with them. And goes on to destroy the world.
Oh by the way I have this to say. The god pokemon of space time and the reverse world can't harm Arcenus, but Pikachu can actually harm it? That's a bit weird man, I mean they explain it and all but yeah....a Pikachu? Main characters.....they get all the fun...
Anyway Palkia decides to send Ash and company and one of the minor characters through time to try and alter the past to prevent the betrayal. Apparently, Palkia is blind to the theory of the space time continium.
We go to the past, and apparently the guy who wanted to betray Arcenus, betrayed Damon or whats his face, to prevent Damon from giving the jewel to Arcenus, thinking the paradise created will go away.
I'll get to the point. Arcenus comes and is victim to almost dying (another key element: legendary pokemon dying) in a murder attempt.
I'm sorta lost.
Ash gets the jewel after a duel with the main villain. Saves Arcenus and stuff unvails after that.
(sorry I'm a little rushed. I have dinner next to me)
But I will say this.
ALl in all with the past pokemon movies, this wasn't that bad.
It was better than Darkrai's movie adn Giratina's movie.
I give it a nice 6.5/10
