Welcome to this new (I think) challenge for the 4th gen!

The idea for this challenge is that any pokemon you take can only know moves of 1 type, like a Gyarados with Aqua tail, Waterfall, Surf and Hydro pump.

    Rules
-Please state what Pokemon you are using, with which type and the version you are using when you sign up.
    -Don't forget to update.
-The challenge is over when you beat the E4.
-You may use as many HM slaves as you want, they can have mixed type attacks, but they're not allowed to battle.
    -No hacking
    -No Spamming
    -No Flaming
    -All PC rules apply
    -Have fun!

    Tips
-Choose the type of the attacks you want the same as the pokemons type, so you'll get STAB over it, though you don't have to do this.
-Try making ur moveset as usefull as possible, with Physical and Special moves of that type.
-Not every pokemon has the same type, you choose another type for each pokemon you are going to use.
-Combine it with another challenge to make it harder! A monotype attack challenge with a regular monotype challenge is a lot harder, since ur prefered type of moves will be ur pokemon's side type and 1 pokemon without side type or just one for the type of monotype challenge.

    Good luck and have fun!

PS, you can start without me saying you can.

MAte i would so do this challenge and i will at a future date ( cant now only have my pltinum and i aint starting again) so yeah this should go alright

I will take this challenge, but I am currently involved with the Solo and Scramble challenges, this seems cool, and I will most likely start it soon.

Here's something I think you should veto:

-The pokemon must learn at least 4 moves of ur chosen type.
To make the challenge more interesting. Let's say you want Torterra with Ground moves, but you can only give it 3, a Starmie with Electric moves, but you can only give it 2, and a Charizard with Dragon, but it only gets 3. It could really add some versatility into the challenge, if someone would so wish to do that. As for the extra move slots, eihter keep them empty or try to find a same-type status/stat move.

I will gladly take this challenge after I complete the Scramble challenge! :D

This challenge actually sounds pretty easy. Back before I learned what makes a good moveset, I used to always make my pokémon learn nothing but moves from their own type (not counting HM distribution, though). I never had that much of a problem back then.

I just deleted that rules, you are free to try that. Thank you for the tip!

    Good luck people!

I might combine this with my scramble challenge, when my team is complete.
    -Pokemon Pearl-
    -Team:Scramble/Mono Attack
-Rattata, can't evolve, can't learn Super Fang, must always know Focus Energy
Ice Moves (does focous energy count as a type I HAVE to use?)
-Chansey Must have -Def nature and must know double edge.

    Normal Moves
-Magikarp. Must evolve at Lv44 and has to keep Splash until the end of my game.
Water Moves (does splash count either?)
-Shinx it may evolve at lvl 14 but if I evolve it then it may not evolve into Luxray. If I evolve it at lvl 30 I may evovle it into Luxray.Must have Rivalry
    Electric Moves

Well, you must delete Focus energy or use normal type moves.

Well, Splash doesn't do anything, so I guess it's not a problem,

I finally found an emulator to play on, I'll do Fight monotype.

    Team:
    Machamp for Fight
    Toxicroak for Poison.
    Infernape for Fire.
    Medicham for Psychic.

    And 2 HM slaves.

Shinx evolves at level 15. Just putting that out there.

I might try this challenge. I'll see if I want too, but I don't often continue my challenges. I just kind of get bored of them.

    Edit:

    Here is my Team:

    Luxray - Electric
    Charge
    Spark
    Thunder Fang
    Discharge

    Lopunny - Normal
    Return
    Dizzy Punch
    Charm
    Quick Attack

    Rapidash - Fire
    Flame Wheel
    Fire Blitz
    Sunny Day
    Fire Blast

    Absol - Dark
    Sucker Punch
    Night Slash
    Payback
    Dark Pulse

    Froslass - Ice
    Ice Shard
    Ice Beam
    Avalanche
    Hail

    Azumarill - Water
    BubbleBeam
    Aqua Tail
    Aqua Ring
    Hydro Pump

These will be their final move sets.

    ((Question))
Is the challenge to beat the E4 with the single move type Pokemon, or the whole game? o.o' -confuzzled-

The objective is to play the entire game through. This challenge is officially over after you defeat the E4.

Yeah, Zacceh is right, you completed the challenge after beating the elite four.

Too bad my Diamond rom isn't working, so I can't play. I'll also set one up for other gens so you can try participating there.
