Pokemon fact finders

Gold and Silver include unused data for Headbutt trees that would've housed Venonat/moth, Abra, and Magnemite.

Abra as a Headbutt Pokémon actually makes a lot of sense given its affiliation with trees outside the games. (I'm still convinced that it's a possum.)

HMs aren't restricted by the amount of gym badges you have in the gen 5 games. If you were to trade a Pokémon that knows Surf over to B2W2 before the cutscene where Alder jumps down from the cliff, an NPC will block the path until the cutscene is triggered.

Did you know in FRLG, despite being called Crush Girls, they do not have the female flag on and are technically a male class according to the code.

That's interesting. I wasn't aware.

I just realized that in my English-language version of Pokemon Emerald Steven flubs the name of his own city. When he talks to you before the final boss fight he reminisces about the time he fought by your side at "Sootopolis Space Center". The Space Center is in Mossdeep City though, not Sootopolis City!

Steven just got a bit confused I guess. It's tough being a former Champion!

Mega Ampharos's additional Dragon typing might seem like an odd choice at first, until you look at its name in Japanese, Denryu. Den- from "denki" meaning electricity, and -ryu from "ryū" meaning dragon. It's also the only Electric type Mega with a secondary type
