[Released] Pokemon Holy Reign V1.2 (Christmas Update)

    Introduction
    Pokemon Holy Reign happens in a region based on Quebec called Skavis. The game was made with Pokemon Essentials Version 19.1.
    A joke story (Renaud Rutten - L'Ours bleu) made me think of a blue bear pokemon, and it somehow ended up with me wanting to create a whole game.

    Story
    The player got, by unkown means, stuck between dreams and reality. Where the entity that lurks between the realms saves them, and tasks them to look for whoever eroded the barrier.
    The protagonist finds himself in a weird, magical region, under threats of revolutions by a faction called Team Liberation.
    Skavis is a mostly isolated region, as forces keep it inherently seperated from the rest of the world.

    Features
    -Around 20-25 Hours of gameplay (with complete story).
    -Many pokemon up to generation 8, and a select few from gen 9.
    -Many Fakemon.
    -Many bonus pokemon... If you find the secret location and it's easter eggs.
    -You can be a magician!
    A good variety of opposing trainers.
    -A couple of new moves and abilities.
    -Neat things such as being able to change a pokeball, or randomize your team.
    -Shadow Pokemon (Kinda, not fully implemented).
    -A good variety of biomes.

    Progress
    The game can be fully completed up to level 100, all 8 badges, the Elite 4 and the story as well as a good chunk of the postgame are completed.
    However, there is currently a big lack of sidequests and things to do beyond the main story, and the postgame has no story to it.
    I intended to make something worthwile with shadow pokemon both story and gameplay-wise, perhaps one day that that will be made.

    I really dig what i am seeing, congrats on the release. I assume that since it has 8 gyms already, the game is mostly complete?

    Mostly, as a matter of fact if you don't care about sidequests then the game might as well be completed.
    There's just not much to do outside the storyline and 95% of houses are locked.
     
    Hi there, I just started playing your game. I went thru the PBS and saw that there are Trade evos, is there a way to simulate trades for those mons in the game somewhere?

    Yes, there's Link Stones for sale in Source (the city).
     
    i was trying to downloade your game and whenevery i go to extract it it flags my antivirus with a serous threat. i was wondering if that was normal and if anyone eles has had that happen

    I just scanned it multiple times and got nothing on my end.

    Nothing on my end either, on personal or work PC.

    this happened to me as well. My Norton flagged down the extendedtext.exe, which is a common tool that is part of the Essentials pack that I believe usually gets removed from the game folder before it gets sent out. IMO, it is harmless. Hope this helps for context, I am not an IT person or tech wizard by any stretch so take my input with the appropriate grain of salt.

    This is great, thank you! I am using the new stuff in the game pretty much exclusively, but saw that there was an alternative evo than Aromatisse (forget what it is called) that was triggered by a Trade Item, so was just curious how to get it. I am still super early on, but having fun thus far!

    Game probably needs a speed up button plugin tho for people that are uninitiated with CE's Speedhack (I'm just using that and it has been fine).

    I dont know what to do after beating the 3rd gym leader in Source, help?
    also there is a bug after beating 3rd gym leader talk to the fossil restorer and it glitches and says something about the next event not found.

    I'll look up the fossil restorer. as for what to do, head north to the magician house on route 4 and talk to the girl on the sofa inside, she gives you a spell to move the boulder.

    There's an EXP. Share in the upper right corner of the graveyard to grind levels more easily.

    There's an eviolite in the same room as the first gym leader which should also come in handy.

    The berries in Ile-des-Rois can come in handy, though i guess they're finite in mumbers.

    Or you can use the secretely early available Mega Evolution:
    If you click 6 times on the creepy tree in the upper-left of the graveyard it will unlock secret events in the area, then head back to the shrine close to the graveyard's entrance and you'll get a very early Mega Ring. From that point just catch a Spiritomb in the lowest floor of the tower and take the Spiritombite in Ile-des-Rois, Mega Spiritomb should be strong enough to dispatch her easily.
