Suggestion: Pokemon Manga Section?

    I'm starting to get into the pokemon manga. I have read the first 2 volumes and wanted to discuss Pokespe with other people on Pokecommunity, but I dont want to any one to give away any spoilers. I want a separate section, not just a thread, for the pokemon manga. I dont get why the anime gets its own when the manga does not.

    We used to have a separate area for it, but unlike the anime, the Pokemon manga just wasn't popular enough to keep its own area. If it were to blossom again like it was years ago, then I would be all for re-adding a subforum in Pokemon General and if it continued to grow from that point, a full fledged forum. Sadly, that just hasn't been the case. Most of the fanbase for the manga that was on this forum left after the Pokemon Special fan club was closed up. I don't think I've seen many of the Pokemon manga fans around since that whole flock left years ago. :(
     
    A long time ago, PC did have its own section dedicated to the Pokémon manga franchise. However, due to lack of activity in its later years, it was archived and active manga discussions were placed into Pokémon General.

    I'm sure if you could garner some interest for the manga in PGen, then maybe interest will go up? :)
     
    As the others said, we did have a section for the Pokemon manga but it went inactive and was merged into the Pokemon General section, causing manga discussion to be confined to a single thread.

    It's just that the manga isn't as popular as other Pokemon media, but if the activity can bloom enough to warrant a second chance for a seperate section I'm sure staff will put it up for consideration.
     
    Well that's the thing. It was a sub, and it still didn't remain active. Like I said, I'd be all for putting in a subforum if the interest was there. That's not to discourage you though, don't get me wrong. Start posting manga threads and gathering interest, I'd say. Only way to get people excited about the manga is to have discussions about it, you know? :)
     
    Since there isn't a subforum you miiight be able to make a Fanclub for it (since, like what Alli said, that is where the majority of the fans were before it was closed to try to bring more activity to the subforum. Didn't work in the end because the regulars didn't like that aha). But don't quote me on that. Alternatively there is this thread where you can join some others who are going to be re-reading Pokemon Adventures soonish so you can possibly discuss it there!

    Another suggestion is to think of a topic you want to talk about manga-wise and make a topic in Pokemon General about it. I believe that is allowed as well
     
    Come to Pokémon General and make manga topics and make people interested in it again, and join that particular thread to discuss it in general as you're reading the adventures.

    I would join a PokéSpe fanclub in a heartbeat too. More manga for PC <3
