I've just got to lavaridge town and i still don't have ANY water type pokemon please tell me where i can find a good one.

Umm... just get Magikarp and evolve it.... Gyarados is an amazing pokemon

Or catch a Wingull and evolve it. Pelipper can learn Surf and has a good Defense.

You don't really need a water pokemon for Flannery, as a ground type works well too. Magikarp is a pain for ingame teams, so I'd go with peliper. There are stronger water pokemon throughout the game, but that should get you by.
