Pokemon Shiny Gold v4 or B5 ?

Hey there folks, I'm new around this neck of the 'net and I'm not sure where to post this. I've been searching for a few hours now trying to find the main differences between v4 and B5 of Shiny Gold.

From what I can tell, there are some different tiles like the grass tile, and it seems b5 is only complete until Fuchsia city?

If I were to play v4, could I play it until the very end or does it abruptly end somewhere.

I'm just wondering the main differences between the two. Other than just "b5 is more complete than v4"

also which one do you guys prefer, if they are both similar?

Sorry, this is the wrong section. I suppose you could try looking around in Emulation. That ain't my expertise though, so idk where in there exactly you could ask this, but I know for sure not in this section.
