I've been obsessed with Pokemon The New Order lately, but had to stop playing due to a game breaking bug I encountered. I messaged the developer about the bug, but he hasn't been on in a few weeks, so I have no idea when that bug is being fixed. Luckily I know how to avoid triggering it now, so I'm going to go ahead and start a new save file and replay the game from the beginning. Follow along with me through my journey through the Fabelle region as a member of Team Cypher.
A quick overview for those of you unfamiliar with this gem of a game:
You start the game by joining one of the many villain teams/mafias in the Fabelle region, Team Cypher. As a new recruit with no experience as a trainer, you're given a starter pokemon, either Klink, Magnemite, or Bronzor. As you might have noticed, Team Cypher has a thing for steel types, but that's not the only pokemon they use. The team is centered around steel, poison and psychic types, though you're allowed to use pokemon of other types as well. As someone not registered for the gym challenge, there is no challenging gyms, the elite four, or becoming champion. Instead, your superiors give you missions to complete around the region, from doing work for allies and driving out rivals, to raiding government buildings, to gathering legendary pokemon, every mission is unique and fun with a mostly well rounded challenge to them.
To add an extra layer of challenge to this game and keep with Team Cypher's theme, I'm going to only use pokemon that are steel, psychic, or poison types or evolve into one of the aforementioned types. With that out of the way, let's start our new adventure into the world of Team Cypher!
