    Pokemon: Adventure

I am a n00b to RMXP, but I think I am getting the hang of it. Anyways my previous game got deleted (i messed up with the scripts, d'oh!) and I started a new one. Anyways here are the features:

    -new characters
    -completely different story line
-less pokemon leveling, more RPG (a-la Final Fantasy)

Here is my first screenshot, it is the first part of your starting town: BrayBerry.

Nice, but remember to use those blank tiles to reduce space on a map.

Thanks man, I was wondering how to make the maps smaller.

i need help again. I was working on my pokecenter and previewed it, look at the black around some of the furniture! How do I fix it?

    Cool rmxp game................................................

Thanks man, It is coming out really well. I'm implementing the day/night feature now...its just this pokecenter is making me so dang angry.

    Mapping I have done:
    Brayberry (home town)
    Downtown Brayberry
Route 1 (first route in game)
    PokeMart
PokeCenter (except for the black area)
    Professors House

Ahhh an FF-style pokemon game.. About time!
Well whenever you change the tileset of rmxp, you must import it again or the outside will show up on the maps.. If you have already done this then there may be a few shades of black in the picture.... Shade them all the one colour and make it transparent

Alright thanks for the posts guys.

The basic premise of this Pokemon game will be more linear, following the main characters path on his journey to...*immense cliche coming up* save his Region. The main character gets up to (4) pokemon, and the game will use a leveling system sort of like FF sort of like Pokemon.

cool i hope this projet turns out good and finished.
oh and off-topic how do u take screen shots of your game?

(I take screenshots by pressing the "Print Screen" button by F12)

Here are some new screens, enjoy.

Yeah, and I wanted to keep it different from the whole "catchemall" theme, I wanted to make it to where characters would feel more attatched to their pokemon buds, by growing up with them in as they progress through the story.

Looks pretty good, Good luck, My map tree data was corrupt when I woke up one morning... Try to keep alot of backups!

    Try not to double post,
    Aaron

    Sorry bout the double post.

(one question: what is a conditional switch?)

I think it's something like this
If (switch no x) is on/off
    >>something

You go into fork conditions and check if a certain switch is on or off.

I just finished my new PokeCenter, and IMO compared to my old one it looks AMAZING.

I know double posting is bad, but please let me do it this time, I have updates!
