Is there any differences between Pokemon RED and Pokemond FIRE RED?

Yes there are many differences.
For starters, instead of 151, you get 386! Secondly, you have seven islands to visit. You have a device that lets you fight trainers, again, and again, and again!
You can get running shoes... Charmander knows Steel Claw... All kinds of things!

And the roads have the same structure, but some are a bit wider. Now the mew trick can't be done... *sigh*
