Pokemon XD Comic-Con Demo Report (SPOILER WARNING)

    Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness has been speculated to death, but now it is confirmed that, indeed, it is a Colosseum sequel.

    First, you begin outside of a warehouse, where you are greeted by two scientist. One explains to you how the Snag Machine works, if you played Colosseum this part is pretty boring. But there's a new addition to XD, the Aura Seeker. In Colosseum you had Rui to check for Shadow Pokemon, with this nifty device, you can do it yourself! The other scientist suggests using your Parasect's Spore attack to put pokemon to sleep to snag them. You then are sent on your merry way into the warehouse. But a thug stops you on your way in.

    The main purpose is to snag pikachu. Easily done since you have 30 ultra balls. Slipping into the warehouse you are confronted by a peon.

    Shadow Attacks: Shadow Rave, Shadow Blitz, Shadow Down, Shadow Mist

    After snagging the two electric mice you go down a flight of stairs where one of the scientists you saw in the beginning is standing. He explains the plight of Orre with the shadow pokemon on the loose and the demo is over.

    Actually,YOU are wrong!It IS a sequel!
     
    It is a sequal. It's based in Orre region 5 years after Collosium.
    However, don't expect to see characters from Collosum (excluding Mirrabo that is).

    Also since the *SPOILER* thing is there, I think it's ok to say... that Leo, the Collosiums hero, is dead.

    He is? out of curiosity how do you know. I've never played colliseum(I've got a PS2) but that dude was cool. I find it werid that he is because I've been all over serebii(who already has a complete game walkthrough up... oh those guys scare me... heck serebii has had most of the game up for at least a week so this was kinda old news about it being a sequel) and I haven't seen anythnig about the guy being dead.
     
    I played an XD demo at Gamestop today that was identical to what you described, except Zook's Shadow Pokemon was a Shellder and my character only had a Parasect and a Gardevior. I accidentally knocked out the Shellder with a single Shockwave, and then it said "Shellder fled somewhere" or something to that effect.

    Dudes not to diss pokemoncommuity but check serebii.net for the information regurading this. Hey I'm a member of serebii too so just to help them out.
     
    XD has been released in the US. And we all shall rejoice. I'm off to play it and hopefully do a full write up later. Good day.
