4th Gen Pokerus Help

I got lucky today and caught a pokerus pokemon on accident
(the first one I've ever been lucky enough to find). Now, I know that Pokerus makes it easier to train a pokemon but how exactly does it work? Does it level up faster? Better stats? How does it spread? Help would be appreciated!

It doesn't level up faster...
It doesn't give them better stats...(Well it does but overall the stats are the same after like level 50)
It spreads by battling...

It increases the stats of your pokemon than usual because it doubles the effort points you've obtained. And I think it only lasts 24 hours when the pokemon is in your party, so make sure to keep one in your box to ensure you keep spreading it.

It increases the amount of EVs you get after a battle by x2. Makes EV training a lot easier once you've got the virus. But it only lasts for either 24 hours or until midnight (can't remember which), so most people spread the virus to a Pokemon and then store it in the PC because the Pokémon won't lose the virus while it rests in one of the boxes. If you want to spread it then just battle and it will spread through the party.
