I am unsure of how exactly it works, so i dont really know if pokesav works with all versions, or only american versions. Id really appreciate it if someone can tell me if/when pokesav can/will work with uk versions of DP. Im about to buy Diamond over here, and Im not sure if i should just import an american version, as im unable to get those event legendaries any other way apart from pokesav

umm, not 100% sure but I think you should take this to the action replay/codebreaker thread, and most people frown upon pokesav generated pokemon and you aren't alowed to trade/battle with them here.

also, no it will not work.

you should probably ask a moderator if you should get this thread moved or not.

*points wildly* Sacrilege!! Sacrifice him to the gods!! Pokesav is a tool of chaos!!

Seriously though, just buy the Action Replay and unlock the events with it. Then you get the real life event legendaries without having to hack them. It's the exact same Pokemon you'd get from the event, only without the plane ticket and the sea of n00bs. Certainly more ethical than using that accursed PokeSAV abomination to hack them.

Ok... i dont know your smoking but...

But if your buying Daimond your better doing what he said, and exploiting the events a lot easier with AR. Though its look down upon -_-

Waa?! Using an AR is hacking....

And how is it ethical to use one hacking device over another. Plus you can only use pokesav with an AR, unless they have a M3, R4 or G6 (Or some supercard device) to edit their save.

Because I only AR what I cannot get otherwise, and by the most legit means possible, namely unlocking the events themselves so I can go and catch the real Pokemon. Would YOU prefer to spend the hundreds of dollars to fly to an event, swim through a sea of n00bish children, only for a chance at getting it? Hacking them into your collection via PokeSAV is what's unethical and should be banned.

Even though I don't have an AR, I agree with Ichida. Only fools would pay money for couple of pixel images inside a game =|

Yes yes yes, I know spend $50 for an AR instead of $5000 to go to the event.

But it is STILL hacking, therefore it cannot be better than pokesav. There is nothing ethical about hacking. The only legit thing an AR can bring, is to clone, as it is still the same pokemon, just 2 of it, instead of 1.

Ahhh, ethics and pokémon. Everyone here is going to think they're right.
You know what I think? I think Ichida says Pokesav is ebil but AR can be used with discretion because Pokesav gives you ultimate control.
    Fire Blast Magikarp? Check.
    Flying Pikachu? Check.
With AR, you get the codes you are given.
    Oak's Letter? Check.
Instead of traveling to an event, you'll get the items for the price of an AR. Me? I trade with friends who go to events and people in the WTC with Event pokémon. Use Pokesav, and you'll get yourself perfection. Or, use AR and get yourself an event.

To sum up, Pokesav will let you do more, but the people here won't trust you. AR will do less, but can still leave you with some respect.

And as for AR cloning, thinking that's legit is (IMO) laughable. Using a cheating device to get legit pokemon is like robbing a bank to pay interest on a loan.

(I had a cool simile for Pokesav and AR about two old men and a muffin, but I forgot it.)

<.<; Interesting simile. I only AR'd Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus via their events, and it didn't involve threatening to kill anyone, taking things from other people, or breaking federal laws. I'm not using them for battle anyhow; they're just trophies, like all legendaries.

True, though you just catch them, you would leave in the box, some train them, but its rather pointless, since its looked down upon for those who use legendaries in their teams as ubers, but hey, they're cool to look at.

EDIT: Actually Pokesav does a lot more the AR, but its only good for those who use DS Flash cart devices to edit saves. If you own the real game, your better off using AR.

    <.<; Interesting simile.

Now that you mention it, it does seem absurd. It does, however, express my feelings towards hacking in general. I have no problem with you, Ichida, but I think that cloning using AR is like eating a taco, and then expecting somehow that the taco will reappear on your plate. Cloning using the GTS is more of, eating half a taco and then the taco regenerates in your stomach and on your plate.

    (What? I like similes.)

Yeah, that's how I use my AR too. The money for flights isn't worth it; besides, what parent would go through all that trouble for their child.

Lol. AR is $25. If you're getting AR for $50 then you're totally getting ripped off.

    hmm...

    .sdfgh................................................................................................

Pokesav IS available to people with an AR! Therefore they are both as bad as each other, lets see can you get a fire blast magicarp with an AR, Yes! Because you make the pokemon in pokesav than save it to a .xml, then press the buttons in the game and walla your first pokemon in your party becomes a magikarp with fireblast!

And as for AR cloning, thinking that's legit is (IMO) laughable. Using a cheating device to get legit pokemon is like robbing a bank to pay interest on a loan.

Yet exploiting a glitch that wasn't intended is acceptable?

Oh and the $50 is Australian, in Australia an AR costs $50.

I love it how a simple question makes people spam the hell out of a thread with comments that are completely unrelated to the question.
I won't watch that much longer, guys.

    Yes, they're compatible.
