    Take a look at your post count. Does it sound reasonable or does it look like you've spent a little too much time online?

    I took a look at mine and realized I need to find some other things to do.

    Son, I've made at least that many posts in a single month before (your count is 2350 at present; most I've made in a month is 2750). I think you're in fine shape, haha.

    Granted, that is still something north of 10 posts per day since your join date.


    As for mine, it's probably indicative of spending too much time here, especially since almost all of it has come in the last 6 years. And it also ranks as the 13th highest total on a single account on this site, and all but one user with a higher count is either current or former staff. Granted, the whole first page of the top posters list consists of 24 current or former staff and 6 members who were never staff at any time, so maybe it's right where it should be.
     
    Posting is fun as long as its not like the only thing you do and doesn't consume you. For a while I was being pretty consistent with about 500 a month and that was okay. If you look at it day by day then around 10-15 posts per day is pretty normal for posting and still having a life outside. You can definitely get upwards of 50 or 60 a day and still have a life, but 10-15 is about average. There's been a few days where I got 100+ posts a day and still managed to do other things, but I was pretty much just sitting there with pc open and checking it every five seconds while I was trying to do other things and it didn't work out great and I ended up blowing off my friends. Lately I've not been posting as much, but I'm looking to start getting at least 25 posts a day again soon since thats really not too much to ask.
     
    I have a fairly low amount of posts for the amount of time I've actually spent here, but I'm cool with that. Well actually my true postcount is different because... none of my Playground/FG/OT or PT posts were retroactively added into my postcount? Like when you search my post history is comes up as "Showing results 1 to 25 of 13837". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but that's still reasonable for being here over eleven years.

    As long as ya having fun, making decent quality posts, and not making your postcount your top priority it's totally fine to rack up a bunch of posts imo! I just think it's silly to set any kind of store by postcount or post for the sake of the numbers.
     
    My postcount appears really impressive but I post in staff forums a lot as well as PT which both rack up the postcount quite easily. I'd probably have around half of my current post count if you take away those two forums haha. Tbh though I don't care too much for post count but I try to maintain a high ppd so I feel like I am contributing my part 8)
     
    15k is a lot since 2011, I guess. My highest was around 650 posts/month.. which I thought was a lot until I read Don's post up there. @_@; Wow. Lately I don't feel like I post too much, it can reach 10+ usually on days when I go on a welcoming spree or travel through PT lol. Just hit 15k today.

    My post count isn't that high compared to my join date but to be fair my post count was at like 200 a few months ago haha :P Being consistently active has allowed my posts per day to push up close to 1 now without too much stress
     
    I have been here since 2011, and I am what is the sixth-highest postcount on PC right now. Granted, back in 2012 I had been living in The Playground and it's easy to rack up posts there yet they didn't count back then but now the posts in those trivia sections count.

    Another thing that I think was likely behind the high number was just me being outright dedicated to the forums in general. Very impressive for someone whose account is only four years old.

    I surf PC everyday, and average about 8-10 posts per day. During the summer I think it was at 15. Anything outside of 20 posts a day might be a bit too much because that doesnt count how many hours a day you are on PC not posting. For example, you could post 30 times a day, but only be on for an hour each day or post 15 times a day, but be on for 3 hours. So, post count is almost irrelevant.

    644, pretty casual thing I got going. I'm averaging like 100 posts a month so I got this whole pc thing under control
     
    honestly? for as long as i've been on this website i'm amazed i've only had a total of maybe 3,000 something posts altogether.

    my dignity is still safely in tact.
     
    If you combine this with the random posts from alts, I'd have slightly over 11k, which would make a little more than 1000 posts a year.

    That both feels like too many, and also nothing in comparison to what some people have. So I think.. mine isn't really that I'm on too much, it's more that PC has kind of just been a constant in my life since the years since I've joined.

    There was a few years where I do think I really was online way too much (Where like 8k if the 11k came from, whoops), though I must've needed it to help keep my spirits up at the time, or I wouldn't have been, so 'eey.
     
    Back when EGC was a thing, I had 22,000+ posts in less than three years.

    Here, I have less than 2,000 in about... 7. Shows how often I come here, right? I don't care, really, and I'll never get to 22,000 ever again. It's an obsessive number, since I accomplished that in less than 3 years on the other forum I mentioned.
     
    It's 1000 where you start to go down the slippery slope of being a forum junkie.

    Fortunately my habit is under control and I am in no immediate danger of becoming a Post Whore.
     
    My post per day is now 1.26 from the 0.01 post per day when I came back last year... And I know at least 2.8k of my posts are made at 2014-present...

    Well, I've not been here for a year yet and I've made over 2k posts...that's fairly good for me, considering I've not been active at all for about a quarter of that time, and I've left most of the forums I've joined within a month since my main one shut down. I don't really think about post count etc; I know I spend too much time online regardless. xD

     
    so apparently i average 153 posts per month, ew. i can thank the playground specifically gender wars for a big chunk of those posts, approx 615. since school has started i've been able to manage from 2-5 posts a day.
