Put on your Sunday clothes

Do you save your nicer (or more representative of your style) clothes for when you're on your own time or do you wear them regardless of the situation? If you have a uniform/dress code has having one changed how you dress in your free time compared to when you didn't have a uniform/dress code? Insert other question about how your clothing choices change here.

I'm pretty lenient when it comes to clothing; not very fussy at all. I think I've always been this way. If dress code is necessary, I make sure to follow it. And on occasion, I try to dress well. Otherwise, I put on whatever I want, and whatever I feel comfortable in. But, of course, with situation taken into account.

I wouldn't say I had 'nicer' clothes or ones 'more representative of my style'. When I'm not working, I wear long-sleeved shirts and jeans all year round, with the only variation being whether or not to wear a jumper on top of a shirt. I have suits that get worn for special occasions (and will eventually be dress du jour when I start properly working) but I don't think that's what Scarfy's asking about. With regard to my normal clothes, there aren't any garments that are any more 'special' than the rest. That's not to say I don't have a favourite shirt or anything - it's a checked shirt from Calvin Klein Jeans that I found in a charity shop: BARGAIN! - but it gets worn in the same rotation as the rest of my clothes.

EDIT: WHY DID I FORGET TO EMBED THIS IN MY POST!? STUPID CAT DOG.

I just pick two things at random out of the closet every day, regardless of the situation.

Pants, shirt, and some sort of long-sleeve jacket, hoodie, coat, blazer, sweater, or, just a long-sleeved shirt by itself.
I hate showing my arms. I have nothing against them, but I'd rather more of my body being covered. Spring and summer I wear light clothes.
As for dressing up, only when I have to. At work, professional, store/everywhere else, casual, special events, dressed up.

I dress casual everywhere. Unless it's a quick trip somewhere then I just go in a undershirt and pair of sweatpants seeing that's how I dress at home and all.

I just dress pretty formal regardless of where I'm going. (Unless I'm sitting around the house, then I just wear an old shirt and some pajama shorts.)

I'm going somewhere, even just to school, I'll usually wear a suit and heels. If it's actually a formal affair I'm going to, then I'll wear a nicer blouse with the suit, and I'll wear a skirt instead of pants.

However, I refuse to wear those formal gowns (like prom dresses, wedding dresses, and that kind of stuff), you'll never see me in one.

I dress as casually and comfortably as possible at all times :P Even my "formal clothes" are really comfy and I wouldn't mind just wearing it randomly, but why would I? I pretty much always wear a t-shirt (with the occasional button shirt like a Hawaiian or dragon) and some swishy/athletic/cargo pants all the time, and there is no distinction between what I wear during the day and what I wear to bed. Besides that, I change clothes once a week.... Classy, right? :P

I wear gender-neutral clothing all the time, never skirts or dresses or really feminine-type tops, because I don't really feel comfortable in them. When I was little I'd whine and pitch fits over having to wear a dress for whatever reason, like a wedding. These days my "formal" stuff is stuff I got for band class...a nice silky black button-up and some black pants. Ta-da! I never wear shorts, either, unless I'm on vacation.

When I'm home, I dress in whatever and don't care how I look.
When I go out, for whatever reason (besides quick things like getting the mail and going to take out the trash), I dress comfortably and appealing to myself and in a way that makes me confident in myself. People always get the impression that I'm out to impress other people by the way I look, but that isn't the case at all.

I think I dress depending on how I feel. I usually always try to dress nicely anyways.

Normally I just dress casually, unless it's something important like a fancy dinner or job interview. Then I go all out with the suit. I try to look presentable when going out with friends, but around the house a T-shirt and shorts or sweatpants (depending on the weather) suffices.

The way I dress is pretty much always the same. At home I'm always in a t-shirt and pyjamas. When I go out I wear the same t-shirt plus jeans. The biggest variation here is in the jeans. I wear skintight, baggy, or regular jeans. I also wear both guys' jeans and girls' jeans. I wear sandals in very good or hot weather, unless I don't feel like it. I also often throw this thing on regardless of the weather:

(Albeit mine is not those exact colours.)

In the cold weather I might wear my sweater, or maybe just my drug rug, or perhaps both. I'm pretty much an expert at layering.

If I had skirts, I would wear them with leggings, but regrettably I have none. -gotta go shopping soon~-

That's pretty much it. xD The end.

When I'm not working, I dress casual all the time - in fact, I make a point of it. Even when we're going out somewhere nice, a polo shirt and jeans is about as 'dressed up' as I'll ever get. Working and having a uniform hasn't really changed this because the uniform is pretty much my style anyway: black pants and a polo shirt. The shirt is embroidered with the company logo and I have to wear a lanyard around my neck but other than that, it's pretty much just what I'd wear any day of the week.

More often than not I'll just wear what I find on the floor in my room haha.
