Question about focus punch

The description says, the user flinches if it hits. SO that means if you land the focus punch you flinch. When you flinch you cant attack for a turn right???

Correct me if Im wrong. Then tell me, how good it is

personly i think focus punch sucks,but i doesnt flinch if it hits

focus punch is a move that takes 2 turns,it will say
EX:mukihita tighted its focus.so if the opponent uses a damage making move(EX:water gun)it flinches and is unable to attack.

No it says the user flinches if hit. Which means the attack won't work. Learn to read.

Also gold typhlosion Foucs Punch is a very good move.

Focus Punch is an amazing move.
No gold typhlosion it does not take two turns.
As mullet said it will onli take one turn like this

Begin Turn 1
Breloom tightened its Focus
Snorlax used Rest
Breloom used Focus Punch
(100% damage)
Snorlax fainted

or

Begin Turn 1
Breloom tightened its focus
Snorlax used Body Slam
(80% damage)
Breloom lost its focus and couldnt move

It takes one turn to do and if YOU get hit YOU flinch. Simple

is it like, you tighten your focus, then your opponnent attacks, then if it doesnt do damage you attack. Then it happens all in one turn?

Yup, it's all just one turn. you tighten your focus, foe hits, and you flinch. If you still don't get it, try it yourself. Save the game and teach someone focus punch and try it out. If you don't like it, restart.

I got it now, I just bought the TM on the rom with the built in gameshark on my Fire red rom.

I dont like it....

It should be used in a combo of course. For example u should first put the opponent to sleep so u dont get hit or u should put up a substitute so you wont get it or if u are playing competitively u should predict a switch to another poke. 150 base power and 100 accuracy is not to be messed with...

For a small avoidable thing like flinching. When you can have a substitue.

20 PP, 150 base power, and 100 accuracy. No wonder you guys think its a good move. With PP up it could be 32 PP

Focus Punch sucks ingame, because the AI just picks a random move to use, but competitively, it owns. It requires good predicting skills, though.

IMHO, you should only use focus punch if you can predict.

Wrong! You might not be able to predict, but any experienced Netbattler can. Predicting isn't really that hard.
