question about new weakness

i havent played the game in a couple of months, and ive realized the new weakness system implemented (+20 damage if weak to fire, etc.) my question is, what happens to the old system of double damage if you're playing unlimited?

On cards printed before Diamond & Pearl, the old Weakness and Resistance limiters ("x2" and "-30" respectively) are used.
