how do i know when my absol likes me fully so that return hits the hardest?

I think that question has different answers depending on what game you are playing. But I think u should go to one of those ppls houses who say how much your poke likes you

in slateport in the pokemon fanclub place a lady there will give u a soothe bell
if u'r pokemon likes you a lot, and in verdanturf there's a house the one
next to Wally's uncle's house the lady there tells u if u'r pokemon loves you a lot. giving u'r pokemon vitamins and certain berries will increase it's happiness
a lot.
