Hello all!
I am opening a gaming store in NY, and I need to learn about Pokemon. I have done some research, but I'd like to hear from people who actually play the game. If I could get your opinions on these questions, it will help me make the best choices on what to carry in my store.
(Moderators: If this post doesn't belong here, please PM me as to where future posts of this nature should go, thanks!)
1: I plan on carrying Majestic Dawn and Secret Wonders theme decks. Which other theme decks are popular?
2: Do people get a lot of the "booster packs", or do you prefer the special tins and promotional packs? Do you have a particular "shopping strategy" to get the right cards for your decks?
3: Is there a such thing as "starter decks" in Pokemon (like they have in Yu-gi-oh)? If so, what are the current starter decks?
Of course, if any of you are in the NY area (downstate) feel free to stop by Ravenblood games in June (when I plan to open), even to just talk about Pokemon. I really want to learn what I can! I will also have an area for playing, and welcome any input from Tournament Organizers...
Thanks in advance!
