[Other] R/S/E Mirage Island

So i started hacking Pokemon Emerald on the side and wondered, what about mirage Island.
I checked all the other games for even a hint of where mirage Island was and how to edit it but nothing came up.
Does anyone know anything about Mirage Island?
Note: This is using A-Map.

This belongs in the Simple Questions thread.
(You can't edit it without hex editing it, A-Map can't see it because it is a map footer change if I remember correctly.)

Although if you change the map footer in the map, you can see it.

I believe LU-HO showed us how to do this; both with the Sand Tower and Mirage Island.

my friend said he was hacking the island so its not a mirage so its always there but he hasnt given me more info ill tell u if he does it ^_^

anyhow, like it was said the only way to edit mirage island/sand tower is by changing their map footers
