Hey everyone, I'm new so I thought I'd introduce myself along with a deck of mine. I'm Vaporeonn, or Audrey, and this is my water deck. I'd love any tips or constructive criticism please.
Pokemon:
3 Squirtle
2 Wartortle
2 Blastoise
(One with Pokepower Dig Well: Look at the top 3 cards of your deck, choose as many energies as you like and attach them to your pokemon in any way you like, discard the other cards.)
(One with Pokepower Wash Out: As often as you like during your turn you may move one water energy attached to one of your benched pokemon to your active pokemon.)
3 Spheal
3 Sealeo
3 Walrein
(Two with Pokepower Freeze Up: Once during your turn when you play Walrein from your hand to evolve one of your pokemon, you may flip two coins. If both are heads, discard one of the defending pokemon and all cards attached to it.)
(One is EX with Pokebody Icy Aura: As long as Walrein EX is your active Pokemon, put one damage counter on each player's active pokemon, excluding water pokemon.)
2 Kyogre (One is EX)
1 Suicune (Pokepower Aqua Recover: Once during your turn, when you play Suicune from your hand onto your bench, you may search your discard pile for up to three water pokemon, show them to your oponent, and put them in your hand.)
Trainers:
3 Professor Elm's Training Method
3 Interviewer's Questions
3 Pokemon Communication
2 Cheren
2 Great Ball
2 Energy Removal 2
2 Switch
1 Lucian's Assignment
1 Gold Berry
Energy:
20 Water
Notes:
-I tried to make this deck embody the element of water, always flowing and never any stalls. Which is why I have a lot of Pokemon and Energy retrieving trainer cards, so that I can always have the cards I need and never be waiting on them.
-The number of energy in the deck is low compared to average, however after playing this deck and ending up with much more energy than needed every time, I removed quite a few in exchange for energy searching trainers such as Interviewer's Questions and Energy Retrieval.
-I usually am not a fan of using two three-stage evolution series in my decks, however this one works quite well. Since I have very few other Pokemon in the deck, it is easy to get out a Blastoise or Walrein, which are very devastating.
-This deck was modified by playing multiple times against a fighting deck, electric deck, psychic deck, and grass deck. It did well against all aside from electric, so I'd like some extra advice on using water against electric, if you have any.
Also, if you're interested in the sets the cards are from:
Pokemon Sets:
Squirtle HS2 Unleashed
Squirtle Diamond and Pearl Secret Wonders
Squirtle EX Fire Red and Leaf Green
Wartortle HS2 Unleashed
Wartortle Diamond and Pearl Secret Wonders
Blastoise HS2 Unleashed
Blastoise Platinum
2 Spheal Power Keepers
Spheal Platinum Rising Rivals
2 Sealeo Platinum Rising Rivals
Sealeo Diamond and Pearl Mysterious Treasures
2 Walrein Diamond and Pearl Mysterious Treasures
Walrein EX Legend Maker
Kyogre EX Dark Explorers
Kyogre Diamond and Pearl Legends Awakened
Suicune Diamond and Pearl Secret Wonders
Thank you, all help is appreciated!
