I would like to use it for the Pokemon Rocks America tournament. So I'm trying to get the best moveset possible.

I thought of that before but I'm using Sapphire. So I don't know how to get my Typhlosion with the Thunderpunch move.

I agree. Thunderpunch would be much more helpful especially if you have to go up against a water type just take it down with thunder punch. ;)

Unfortunately thunderpunch needs a move tutor in emerald, I just noticed that, have you tried the hidden power? If it's super effective against water types you should keep it.

Thunderpunch would be the best move, but HP Electric works too. Also, have you considered Crush Claw? Though Mild would be better than Modest for Crush Claw. With it you can kill SDers such as Snorlax much more easily than you could with fire or electricity. Typhlosion is a spec based sweeper, not a user of Smokescreen-like moves. Sunny Day is better suited for Houndoom than Typhlo.
