RateMyFirstTeam [OU Team]

This is my first pokemon platinum team... I know that is not the stronger, but i like it!

give me some tips to make this team better!


Azelf @ expert belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Sp. At/ 252 spe
Quiet Nature (sorry but i can't change his Nature
~ Psychic
~ Flamethrower
~ U-turn
~ Stealth Rock

This will be my lead pokemon. He has a great sp attack and a not so bad physical attack.


Milotic @ leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 Def/ 252 Hp/ 4 Sp. Def
Bold nature
~ Recover
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam(?)
~ Toxic

I know that this is an UU, but i liked it and i think that with mirror coat i can suprise some opponents... And better he has a great special defense...


Gengar @ Choice specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
~ Energy ball
~ Thunder bolt
~ Shadow ball
~ Focus Blast

This will be my revenge killer and special sweeper. I simple can't decide about de destiny bond or the energy ball...


Snorlax @ leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP/ 4 Atack/ 252 Sp. Def
Adamant Nature
~ Rest
~ Sleep Talk
~ Return
~ Fire Punch/earthquake

Ability: keen eye

Dragonite @ life orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Sp. def / 252 Spe

This will be my last poke. I know that with this moveset Salamence will be a better option but this is my favorite pokemon ever so I think that with on DD up this will be a destroyer... lol

Giga Impact is a bad move. with recharge time it just allows for the opponent to set up on you go for Return on Snorlax instead and remove Block for something else.. Haze works well on Milotic, giving it the ability to stop pokemon on the opposing team getting stat changes. Make the Azelf Naive and actually give it a lead move like Stealth Rock/Taunt. Go for Energy Ball/Trick on Gengar instead of Destiny Bond, seeing as you have Specs.

I'll edit more into this later but i'm not really up to a team rate at the moment.

Gyarados eats your entire team, Milotic wants Hidden Power Electric >> Ice Beam. Toxic >> Mirror Coat too. Max hp / max def please @ bold.

Mence outclasses nite in every possible way.

Hippow hurts your team rather than helps it. Replace it for Swampert who does a similar job except without the SS team crippling factor.

Your team really needs a steel type to absorb Outrages. id look to add in one.

So i'll change block for sleep talk on snorlax...

To substitute hippowdon, i can change for a skarmory instead of the swampert, what you think?

In azelf i will change nasty plot for Stealth Rock, and in Gengar I will change Destiny bond for energy ball.

About milotic i can't really change his Hidden power that is poison. What should i do? I will change mirror coat for toxic and change his EVs...

THis will be my physical Wall...

Go for Spikes as Skarm's last move and give it Brave Bird because it's a lot stronger move than Drill Peck and Skarm won't be causing much damage anyway. Spikes will help with Stealth rock, making the opposing pokemon lose a bit more health every turn.

You should change milotic ice beam to hidden power electric and always remember that tyranitar could ruin this team if your milotic is down.
