Hi folks,
I'm recruiting staff for a major Team Rocket web site I will be constucting soon.
Let me just explain the concept of this site because it's going to be ENORMOUS.
Title: Rocket Inc.
Basically, the ultimate database in Rocket info. Will contain everything there is to TR 1) hist. 2) Character bios 3) movie info. 4) Mecha 5) Costumes. Will later have Fan Art/Fiction etc. but for now, I'm really concentrating on the info section which is huge and very difficult to compile
I'm looking for dedicated staff who are
1) Info scouts: People who will painstakingly comb the episode guides of various webpages to scout out significat TR happenings. Eg. Musashi gets a new Pokemon, TR's HQ collapses etc. and compile them.
2) Quick sketchers: People who will sketch out every costume there ever was/ every mecha there ever was from screen cap reference.
3) Merchandise collectors: People who will scour the net for every Pokemon merchandise with TR on it.
4) Lyric translators: People who can give rather good translations of TR songs and not make them sound like Engrish. (not easy, I know, I translate things too)
5) Illustrators: Illustrator's who are TR nuts, here's your chance to help me make banners and etc.
6) Culture Vultures: People who are familiar with JP culture (food, living, society) and love TR who could help provide info to particular JP foods, festivals and etc. prominent in Pokemon in general.
7) web design/layout: Now I'm not exactly very good at web layout and design. If someone could help me out here and provide some great web design, I'd really, really appreciate it.
I'm sorry that I'm so strict on particular staff qualities, but I'd like this site to be the best TR site there is right now and it's sad that many great sites have closed down : TR HQ: NEXT was one fine example. So here's the criteria
1) Staff have to be dedicated to update site every month. (with the exception of info scouts/quick sketchers who if they discover any new TR appearances in recent JP eps, have to update the site ASAP)
2) Staff work on volunteer basis (I'm sorry, I can't pay you guys officially but if you're hard working etc, I'll send you an art request as a thank you.)
3) If you're applying for an art position: Illustrator/ quick sketcher, please show me a sample of your work either as a web portfolio or a no. of sample images zipped no more than 2mb. This gives me an idea of your current art skills.
4) If you're applying for a translator position, please send a sample of a translated song/page of comic or whatever together with the original JP text it was translated from. This allows me to see your current translation skill.
I'm sorry that I'm being hard but I'm really particular about all these things and running the site as professional as can be.
Thank you and I hope you'd come round to join me.
It's going to be a wild ride.
YOU'RE GOING TO BE THE PIONEERS of a NEW TR REVOLUTION
